The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group, (MAPMG) is one of the nation's premier multispecialty medical groups and is the largest integrated medical group in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Job Summary:
We are seeking a Project Manager I to join our Washington DC and Suburban Maryland Service Area team. This position exists to provide leadership and facilitation of projects for regional or for multifunction groups. The Project Manager I will act as an advisor or thought partner by structuring undefined issues for resolution, researching issues, summarizing information, leading projects, and working with relevant stakeholders to provide Executives with the information needed to make sound and timely decisions. The Project Manager I represents the Executive position on committees and in communications with internal and external stakeholders. May manage others or support staff.
Responsibilities:
Acts as an advisor or thought partner by structuring undefined issues for resolution, researching issues, summarizing information, leading projects, and working with relevant stakeholders to provide Executives with the information needed to make sound and timely decisions
Provides consultation and analysis regarding service area, regional performance and strategic opportunities. Identifies the most effective means of solving the issues
Facilitates committees and task forces
Overseas the management and implementation of MAPMG initiatives to support process improvement/transformation and clinical services projects
Delivers high quality results on time
Acts as a communication liaison between various internal stakeholders
Represents the leadership's point of view and makes decisions on their behalf (within established parameters)
Prepares presentations of communication materials, such as new service proposals and operational performance updates
Consistently supports compliance in the principles of responsibility (KP's code of conduct) by maintaining confidentiality, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non- compliance, and adhering to applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditation and licensure requirements, and KP policies and procedures
In addition to defined technical requirements, accountable for consistently demonstrating service behaviors and principles defined by the Kaiser Permanente service quality credo, the KP mission as well as specific departmental/organizational initiatives. Also accountable for consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to purchasers, contracted providers and vendors
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree or equivalent experience, in business, healthcare or public administration is preferred
Project management certification is preferred
Excellent computer skills required (Microsoft Office suite)
Excellent customer service problem solving skills required
One to two years’ work experience in consulting, operations or project management in a health care setting preferred
Demonstrated performance in strategic/operational analysis and planning, analytical techniques, financial, policy and market assessments. Demonstrated knowledge of the intricacies of medical offices in hospital operations and practices
Superior communication, analytical, and mathematical skills along with consulting, facilitation, negotiation, conflict management, problem resolution, change management skills and consensus building skills
Demonstrated ability to bring projects/initiatives to completion. Ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities in managing a wide range of projects
