Great interim position for those who want to work in healthcare
I personally loved working here. The management was tricky, and there were constantly company changes to make sure that the company was saving money. However, I never felt abandoned by my leadership, and I always felt as though I was valued and listened to by my leadership.
ProsGREAT work experience

hard to balance
every month's schedule is new, there are no patterns except for the fact that unless you have a "excuse" to not work nights then you will be randomly given night shifts, I personally had 6 in one month. There is also no evening or night differential pay so no one applies for nights making it a unnecessary situation. Obviously you get to work with the doctors and see what they do, so what's hard to balance is if this is worth it or not to you. They will always ask you to work at a location super far away also then when you refuse they will make you a better offer (location wise). Overall the company likes to play games to get young excited hopeful premed students to do a lot of work for as little money as possible. They also hire scribes on the floor as managers so they have to work the swing shifts, get paid like garbage, and are responsible for all of the other scribes.

Great experience, horrible pay
Loved the job itself and would go back in a heart beat but the pay is horrible for how much you have to do and being promoted takes forever. I worked there for about two years and saw only a dollar change in my compensation. That being said the people are amazing and I learned a lot. Dont be surprised to work 10 hour shifts with no breaks.

The pay
The pay and benefits are not as good as the amount of work and hours we do as a scribe in the ER. We do a lot of work and are looked down on by some people making us feel insignificant

High paced low paying job
The job itself is a wonderful opportunity for experience. It's one on one experience with a provider working directly with the patients. However, you're paid no where even close to the amount that you should be making for the amount of work that you're doing. I've been making $10 per hour, and that's exactly what I was making the day I was hired (I've been there for two years now). You're worked until you're tired and in pain. I currently work in an ER and I've typed to the point where I've almost passed out because you see patients back to back for 8 hours, with no time to take a break or even to walk off the floor to use the bathroom. Your computer will most likely be trash and not well maintained. Management doesn't care whatsoever (not including the chief) about the scribes or what they have to say/need. A lot of the time, you'll be yelled at by providers for your flaws and not being perfect (despite taking their recommendations in). At my site, we had an issue with assault from one of the providers to multiple scribes (including myself) and management wanted nothing to do with it. It took almost 6 months before someone said something to him, when we all threatened to quit if nothing was done about it.

Great Experience for Pre-Med/Gap Year Students
Great opportunities to see the thought process of doctors and nurses and if this is a viable career path. Would recommend if you unsure about pursuing medicine as a career.

Waste of time
Work assignments should be investigated more frequently. I worked for doctors that despised their workplace for more than clerical work. These physicians expected to be saved from the piles of office work they were required to do and displayed an arrogance you would only see in movies. Chief scribes offered no practical advice for these situations and just encouraged to continue to work faster.
ProsBoot camp
ConsToo many to list.

Great experience for someone pursuing healthcare
Corporate management can be irritating to work with, but most scribes never deal with them. As long as the chief scribe at your site is a good one (and most are) you experience can be a very good one.

Interesting and inforative
Great learning environment. Fast paced and taught well. Learn a lot from the doctors you work with. Can be overwhelming at times, and the pay is low compared to other scribing companies. No complaints bout my superiors or management, simply the pay and advancement is low

ConsLow pay, short breaks
