Typical sales day
I setup my planned calls for the next few weeks and also handle current weeks calls with planned discussion topics. I will also resolve any issues that linger from the previous weeks.
ProsAbility to meet people and grow my business profitable
ConsNot enough time in the day to get things done

Good company with excellent pay
Great company with excellent pay. Lots of pressure to finish routes early and the physical demand is very heavy but if you don't mind some hard work, the payoff is great.

Challenging Position
Must be very detailed oriented and able to multi-task. Ability to step in to another position at will Must be able to communicate with all types of people. A lot of one on one type of position.
ProsGreat pay
ConsCould do a little better at communication with employees

Saia LTL Freight
Very little support from the corporate level or from direct management when dealing with problems or pricing issues. If business opportunities do not fit inside their business model, forget it.

Fast Pace
I checked the dock for unmarked freight. Answer customers questions about billing, tracking shipments, billing out bill of ladings and claim issues. Set up invoices and purchase orders for accounting and maintenance departments. Scheduled drop trailers for Walmart. Dispatched drivers for deliveries and pickups. Working fast pace, multitasking and knowing my job duties were very important for the production of our office. Taking care of customers insures our success. I enjoyed working with all the employees they were hard workers and cared about the success of the company. I enjoyed the fast pace of the job I always had something to work on- I was always busy and felt I was part of a winning team. I learned something new everyday and was a better person for it.

Management hates fmla
Money is good but the management allows harassment to happen repeatedly. Imagine being on vacation and charged with calling off from work. Imagine going to the next in charge and nothing happens. There's limited chances to advance and there is very little reward for dedicated employees. Management is known for bullying and I've seen it happen too many times to count. If you just need extra cash it's good but that's about it. There's been fights on the dock after management was told before it escalated to physical. Another fight a guy tried to hit a co-worker with a broken board from a pallet.
