This is a wonderful company to work for.
I loved and valued my time and experiences at both Ruth's Chris Steak House locations in St. Louis. This company taught me a tremendous amount about life, management and myself.

Office environment
The office staff consists of three people and everyone works well with each other. We are able to resolve administrative issues collectively and provide assistance when necessary. Management does not micro manage and we can work in a relaxed environment without feeling scrutinized.
ProsRelaxed environment
ConsNo day off before or after major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas)

Worked various jobs and got a lot of experience
I worked directly under the general manager and did all jobs in the restaurant, with the exception of the kitchen. This garnered me a lot of worth and great experience to take with me.
Prosworking different jobs made it interesting

If you love people you'll love Ruth's Chris.
Great place to learn and grow. Going the extra mile is always a plus. You get what you put in. You dont have holidays off, but you're able to work the early shift or the evening shift. I loved it. Plan on going back.

good company
Salary increases and bonuses are hard to achieve. They don't always let you know they value you. Food and drinks are really great quality. Locations are spread out- not easy to transfer is you relocate.
Prosmanager meals are amazing
Consfreeze on raises

Fun environment, decent pay
A very high end restaurant with very specific guidelines, extensive training courses, and wonderful staff!
ProsCo-workers, high volume, great values
Consno benefits, long hours, no job security, poor management

Fast paced environment with short shifts
The restaurant is only open for dinner hours, so shifts are very short. While some nights can be quite lucrative, others are not. I would prefer a job with more consistency.

A Professional Environment Full of Oppurtunities
Starting off you have to work from the bottom and work your way up through each position until you reach your desired position. A good way to look at it is you will get plenty of experience. During that time there are always training coaches during each shift to assist you in any questions and concerns you may have. Co-workers were like family.
ProsGreat pay, good benefits, friendly co-workers
ConsShort breaks during holidays, open 365 days a year so you must be available during the holidays
