Overall Reviews at Rite Aid

I loved working for rite aid
Working at Rite Aid has been life changing and eye opening. As a cashier, stocker & customer service employee I learned so many things I had not learn else where.

Fun place to work
This is a great place to work. You can grow here if you wanted to and move up the stepping stones. You have many choices. For example you can move up the ladder from store clerk to supervisor to assistant manager and so forth. You can do the same in the pharmacy. Rite aid may even reimburse part of your school tuition if you wanted to become a pharmacy Technician or pharmacist.
ProsYou're not just standing around all day. There's much to be done
ConsI never really had a set schedule.
4.0
It was a very active position but an exciting place to work. The staff their had become a part of my family.
I was always learning new aspects of the store and various job duties. I enjoyed learning new things on a daily basis. I had built a great relationship with my fellow associates and corporate along with the customers.

Bad salary rate
Clean enviroment good people to work with but very very bad salary rate. They dont allow space for overtime and they dont have good work plan for their employees.

Where's the IT Dept?
I saw the writing on the wall and left before they shipped most of the IT jobs to India. No loyalty in this country anymore. Rite Aid's management only cared about the bottom line and the share holders.

Was a decent job
I enjoyed my job here. Actually liked the overtime. I had planned on staying here. Sadly they are closing both distribution center down in December. Over the years if you wanted overtime this was the place to work.
ProsDifferent shifts
ConsHealthcare wasn't the best

Flexible schedule
They offered me a flexible schedule to fit my needs but still worked weekends occasionally. Everyone was friendly. Slow paced if that’s your thing and didn’t pay very well. Around Minimum wage for Cashiers.
ProsEasy
ConsBoring to me with bad pay

Demanding, but dynamic work place
Typical work day consisted of inputting new prescriptions, processing prescriptions, filling orders, and ringing out customers for their purchases. Highly demanding job and busy day-to-day operations

Pretty chill job
Nothing too hard, just scanning, restocking and keeping track of inventory. Working fast and efficiently is definitely a plus and there is union which is great.
1.0
Only work here if you’re desperate
Work-life balance
It’s overwhelmingly too much work for one person to do they ask you to do the impossible
Pay & benefits
They don’t negotiate pay you don’t get paid what you're worth the pay doesn’t match the work
Job security and advancement
I’m a shift supervisor but I’m always on register my potential is being wasted
Management
The main manager is good it’s not her fault they ask each associate to move mountains they expect us to be in 4 places at once doing 10 things
Culture
The environment is toxic there’s not any form of team work nobody helps unless asked
Overall
I took this job I was promised 35 hours I was suppose to be a shift supervisor . I spend 90 percent on register playing cashier , then they over work you . They don’t want to hire new people they over work they current employees
