Good exposure to latest instrumentation systems.
Gone through construction/commissioning & now maintenance phase at PP plant.
Involvement at design stage. Review of data sheet, control logic of all packages, DCS FAT/SAT, F&G FAT/SAT involvement.
USA visit for discussing about maintenance strategy with licenser DOW chemical, USA.
Commissioning phase seems to be hard phase as everybody wanted fast start up.
During steady state we faced many problems in one of our package & we did IPF study & all recommendations were implemented, then we totally came out of those problems. This was he most enjoyable part of the job as plant availability almost 100%.
Foundation Field Bus concept adopted by Reliance & we have been given all trainings for the same.
Successful implementation of worlds largest FF installation also enjoyable part of the carrier at Reliance.
Prosexcellent townsgip with all facility, free medical, subcidise electricity, free education.

fullfill your core responsibility and expand your horizon if you want
each manager had core responsibility duly listed in detail with target.
say ,as maintenance manager, i was responsible for 98%m/c available/1% maintenance cost against capital installation/zero accident/zero fire/2%maximum over time and more...
*Typical day-review last 24 hr break down as it was 24x7 hr working
-analyse b/d on gravity as time loss/spare loss-action to prevent repeatation--distribution of work--preventive planning--check m/c health check report--plan predictive maintenance--spare-part stock--procurement,,,,meeting with operation and other dept
* Learned: to work as entrepreneur not as employee
*Management: top management was concern to end result giving free hand to manager and in turn mutual faith.
*Co workers: were more competitive and encourage working.
* Hardest part: to maintain up-keeping of machine at 98% and maintenance cost 1% with aging of machine and price escalation.
* Enjoyable part: Each day brings new challenges and it is always exciting to find solutions to those and learn something new everyday. Enjoyed the nature of non- monotonous job.

Conglomerate of India, at-par with big multinationals
Family business, very large and fast growing company so owners don't have time to see what's happening on ground. Although well stablished processes take care of everything but things keep changing regularly.
Very progressive organisation, process driven and very much growth oriented.
Its townships accommodations are highly recommended. Its Jamnagar township is the best accommodation in the world.

Productive and full of knowledge
A typical day at work:
My work consists from plant operations and performance monitoring to troubleshooting and rectification. It also involves projects like debottlenecking of distillation column, mass balance across the whole plant to optimize raw material consumption etc.
What I learned:
Starting from the way of working with values like one team, ownership mindset and customer value, I learned the way of working with global standards. I familiarized with the detailed process operations for the production of Vinyl Chloride Monomer. I also learned the different key simulation software and techniques such as ASPEN plus and HTRI.
Management:
Management here is of global standards as expected from a fortune 500 firm. Highest importance is given to safety. Company is continuously putting efforts to upkeep with the latest technology in the world.
Co-workers:
I find people here very knowledgeable, cooperative and working in one team.
Hardest part of the job:
Hardest part of the job is to take care of all the safety requirements as the site consists of sensitive chemicals requiring extreme care.
The most enjoyable part of the job:
The most enjoyable part of the job is the sense of ownership company provides.
ProsFreedom with the way of working
