easy going people.
I like it here, the people are laid back and easy going as long as work is done correctly and they don't have to follow you around . It's easy to catch on and move up with this company.

Exciting and productive hotel development field office
This was my first job in the US after living abroad with my family for 12 years and I felt uniquely qualified working in a hotel development office for the world! I was well received by the three other employees and we worked well together. I answered the phone, prepared information packets, drafted client letters, assembled individual customized packets and mailed same. Our days were actually enjoyable. My boss traveled a good bit, so I communicated on his behalf and kept the operation going in his absence. My travels allowed me to provide suggestions on areas for development. I learned on-the-go about computer programs, filing, client development, etc., since I had never worked as an admin before, but I could do so because this was not a high-pressure office.
ProsThe office was close to home and my coworkers were great!

Overall Poor Company
Terrible environment. Poor management. Uneducated leaders on shift. Continuous mandation to work doubles. All bonuses revoked with increased workload. Lowest pay around. Apathetic and inattentive caregivers. Insanely draining on your mental health.

Love this place
I would arrive at the front desk and make sure the staff was in complete uniform making sure reservations where complete with payments. I was also in charge of receivables, printed report and making sure the deposits were taken to the bank. Supervised front desk staff making sure hotel standards were followed, taking reservations and responding to guest complaints.

Beautiful Hotel
A typical day at work was getting to the office around 6:00 and getting the proper paperwork for the day done before my employees came in to start their shift at 6:30. The day was spent checking in guests and assisting with thieir needs as well as the training of new employees and bell staff, I also spent time with the interviewing and hiring of new Front Office employees along with doing the budget and forcast for the week. I was also a Train the Trainier Coach which was implemented through Radisson that consisted of a week long course on Customer Service and Training Expections for Supervisors and Managers.
The hardest part was always hearing the complaints of a customer and being creative to reverse that complaint into something positive.
My most enjoyable part of the job was getting to meet new ppl everyday and also watching my employees walk away satisfied with being able to assist a client.

Ok place to work
You will never run out of work to do here. Under staffed most of the time and buildings are run down. Budgets can be one of the problems at this resort. The bad economy hit everyone.
ProsYou stay busy
ConsPay is very low for skilled labor.

Great co-workers, Great workplace.
The people that I worked with at the hotel that I was employed at were some of the nicest and most welcoming people I have ever encountered. Soon after beginning my employment began, I encountered employees from all of the the various departments within the hotel, and befriended most of those that I did encounter, including some in management. The nature of those in management reflected the nature that I saw in the other employees. Overall, the experience I had working for the Radisson Hotel Group was very positive.
