This company was great to work for until January 2012 when the company hired a new CEO. He lives in Virginia and choose to move the company head office there. Rumors are he convinced the board that the move to Virginia will help them to secure Government contracts, truth is this company is no where close to be able to secure government contracts and would not be able to do so for many years and with a large amount of capital expenditure. The other rumor is that the CEO was told by his girlfriend/wife that she is not moving to New York and he told her not to worry about that, he's working on ensuring the company head office moves to Virginia. He's a bully and would not listen to reasoning. All indications are that this company will not survive this move and will go under within two years. All the people hired has no real security company experience including the new CEO and the board members. They are replacing all the employees from the head office with combined 100 plus years of experience in the industry and more importantly in the company. They board has no interest in talking to the people who does the work but the individuals hired by the new CEO, they all have no understanding of the security industry and the company. They talk a lot without any substance behind their voice but the inexperience of the board in the industry and the working of the industry/company, take their word for it. My six months working for Prosegur at the Safeway Distribution center was not awful, but management makes it not bearable. I was their best guard and still am. I went above and beyond my duties because I cared about my job. For example, we do 585 vehicle inspections and are required to do 15 of them. I did approximately 30 or more; however, the assistant account management assumed I was just doing it because of a “quota” and to look good. This was false because I enjoyed doing them and not many of their guards did.
HR is a joke and one-sided. I emailed HR about a complaint of a guard who was picking on me and making my night miserable. HR and management did nothing about it. All they did was a slap on the hand warning and he continued to do it again. I emailed HR once again and got the same result. What they told me is “we do not practice removing employees from the company.” I also had another situation and not from a guard. It was from a lumper who was legit bullying and harassing me. I reported it to management and my supervisor. That did nothing. The assistant manager said to my face, “he took care of it” showed me a photocopy of his ID badge, and said he was not allowed to work here. That was a lie. I saw him working still and that hindered my ability to be in one of the particular posts since we do rotating posts. Seriously, don’t trust management, especially the assistant account manager because this company values bullying and harassment.

I remember working for these people when they had (or still have the AMD account in the Oak hill area located in Austin TX). The management themselves seem to intimidate their fellow employees and every time they visit they always speak so high and mighty about their company to AMD but in the end they end up most of the time not ever meeting the customer's expectations because they always love to go for the lowest bid in order to keep the contract with the client which means lower pay for the security officers and security management.
However besides the management team from CSC being the absolute worse especially when it comes to "investigations" and finding ways just to get rid of you or in the worse case being the scape goat in order for them to please the client. My fellow co workers were the absolute best. Working on graveyard shift they where the best team to work with. They had not only years of experience doing what they do, but they always tend to help you out and go out of the way to make sure you get the training you need. When working under pressure especially in the control station, you'll always get help from the supervisor and make sure to over look and see if you rather missed something on your report or if you need assistance with an operation. It's more like being apart of the family and there always their when you need them.
The best part of the job is after doing your foot patrol you can go out to the top of the garage at night and look at the view

This place was a nightmare. Imagine every phone call you pick up be somebody standing next to a screeching fire alarm, while they scream at you to turn it off. Aside from that, the job is fairly easy if you don't mind looking at the same empty parking lot security camera 12 different times. The supervisors for the most part were pretty cool, except for the one who was outwardly the most passive aggressive girl I have maybe ever met. You're expected to check in with the supervisors any time you've walked into the call center - whether it be the beginning of your shift, coming back from a break or lunch, etc. Not necessarily the biggest deal, but when you're dealing with someone that just breathes negativity to a point where it can be interpreted as hostile, doesn't exactly make approaching them a comfortable experience. It felt very "Please! Micromanage me! Oh I'm sorry I forgot to ask you to micromanage me!" You might also fit in well here if your definition of communication is shouting across a large room. And shouting a lot.
Don't bother planning to have much of a life outside of working there either. Apparently requesting time off within the first 90 days of working there is frowned upon and you'll have to interact with a man who couldn't be more unaccomodating no matter how far in advance the request is. Okay, start from square zero. Brought on as a site lead to stand up a new site along with 2 other guards. Given the site supervisor position after proving myself worthy. Things steadily went down hill. I took my role seriously as it was my first in a management position. I had to recruit new officers and remove ones who were not doing their jobs along with other assigned tasks. I always followed the site SOP and the company standards as far as that went. The guard who was with me on site was very unhappy that his sucking up to management and the client didn't get him the site supervisor position. So in every way he decided to break every rule he could and ridicule me to include calling me stupid, coming in late, keeping the work area messy and spilling soda in more than one keyboard and not following site standards as far as badge security to people not authorized to use it. Multiple complaints to management within the company and nothing was done at all. Repeated threats of action, but none ever came. Management was too in tune with keeping the client happy that they chose to sweep aside their own rules of respect and compliance with supervisors. This guard should have been gone a long time ago but it never happened. Finally I gave up, brought forward all my evidence of the guard's wrongdoing to the client and he clearly could have cared less. Very busy work environment but for the most part I enjoy myself
I begin my day by logging in the log book then i part take in a morning wake up call for the clients to get their day started productively with some breakfast. The rest of my really depends on what type mood the clients are in they really determine whether or not the day will be a positive or negative one (most of the time it's positive). In my 2 years working here at the womens shelter i've learned that patients is everything and that appreciate everything that you are lucky to be blessed with in life because it could one day be taken away from you.Working here also made me even more of the people person than what i was, i mean i was always social but it got boosted two to three more notches. The management team here at the womens shelter is amazing then again everywhere i've worked i never had a problem with managemen. Here at the women shelter i manage 19 guards but micro manage 3 at a time per shift, but if i had to describe my guards by using one word i will say GREAT but with more work EXCELLENT and thats what we are working on. Good:
*Good Pay
*Sometimes can schedule your hours, they always need someone 24/7.
*The supervisors were very helpful most times and understanding.
* sometimes you get overtime (really good pay and hours)
* Easy work, Patrolling or being at a lobby.
Bad:
*Can't go to the bathroom, eat, take a break of any kind without someone relieving you, you could be waiting an hour. And you may be called to where your breaks are nonexistent. You work while you eat.
*No benefits, or close to none.
*No advancement. People are constantly being fired around you, and no one hired. Even the buildings are shrinking.
*The higher management likes to control with "your going to be fired/laid off, we are letting people go" talk almost weekly. which kills the whole "i enjoy working here" and co-workers caring if you get relieved or not....everyone just fiends for them-self and doesn't care mentality. Which makes it harder to work environment.
*Unpredictable. Sometime you get almost 40 hours a week, overtime, and sometimes you get maybe 12 hours. In less you get full time....which is hard to get, and once you have it they seem to be always looking of ways to get you fired, even the best worker.
*Highly stressful, the work is easy, but the treatment of workers makes it super stressful.And feel not worth it. And

This is by far the worst and most unprofessional company, they don't care for their employees as they say. They show favoritism towards certain officers and supervisors within the company, the turn around is high. The pay is minimal for the amount of work they want you to do. They don't follow procedures throughly when officers get injured on the job doing things that aren't within the contract on their duties. I wouldn't recommend anyone working for this company. They will turn on you once you start sticking up for yourself, they would rather you stay quiet and do your work instead of complaining about what really goes on within the company and how it really runs. Barely any breaks, working long hours with minimal coverage or help with daily duties, management has no consideration for your well being, health insurance doesn't cover basic coverage, requesting time off for personal/health reasons they hold against you in the end. Working 2weeks straight with no days off, management is unprofessional along with co-workers violating conflict of interest policy. Too much drama filled he said she said talk amongst each other within the guards personal and work business within the facility and other locations. Main office HR doesn't care about any of the officers in the pa locations nor about the complaints made. Working in encliment weather, especially in the winter in freezing temperatures outside for long hours standing and walking with little breaks to warm up.

I have very little by the way of contact with anyone at the management office so I can not comment one way or the other since I have had little to no interaction with anyone there in 3 years. (hence no star rating on mngmnt).
I was informed of their need to fill a particular position at a specific job site, and I negotiated an agreement that stipulated no changes to site or schedule without my acceptance and so far they have honored that despite a change in management hierarchy. This is a big plus for me in that they trust the work site client to report on my status as opposed to direct supervision. They honor me by allowing me complete autonomy within reason and in turn I honor them by doing the best job I can for the client.
Their wages are somewhat below other security firms I have seen posting openings by approximately $3.25/hr, however for me this is offset by the schedule I have negotiated for and the work site autonomy.
Their benefits are minimal at best, but allow for partaking at merely 20 hrs a week for part timers.
They offer NO vacation or sick time accrual which is the MAJOR negative. This, if anything will be the deal breaker for me in the long run.
I have inquired about but never been advised of any advancement opportunities. I have only received one wage increase (.25c) in the 3 years I have been with them. I have no clue as to their increment schedule despite having inquired as to what it may be.

Good your going to be doing a lot of that and your in trouble if you talk to anyone outside of basic info mgmt has access to cameras everywhere and they like to act like bad bosses they treat some employees like trash and while they do offer the usual requirements like benefits they try very hard to ensure nobody gets them the supervisors try to cover for employees within reason but mgmt was getting on them too I went back to security after leaving for a few years and this reminded me why I left no job security and a stack of applicants vying to get your job ( before you even get hired) mgmt lacks the will to communicate with you and when you tell them the truth they crucify you for it ( I dozed off by mistake after accidentally punching my eye swatting at a bug and was trying to make the pain go away and got 3 days suspension for it) discipline policy was very vauge allowing the individual managers way to much power and there is no oversight for them to use it ( whoa to you if you end up on someone's $()!+ list like I was) in all it ended burning and in flames and made me realize I'm too old for this anymore the other people who somehow survive must know someone cause I saw a guy get dumped after 3 days I lasted slightly under a month and I'm glad to be gone do yourself a favor unless you like being treated like dirt find someplace else I d

Um dia típico de trabalho é chegar por volta das 06:30hs é rever e terminar o que não foi terminado na programação de roteiros, ou seja, tudo aquilo que possa ser esquecido no dia do trabalho é revisto no sistema e também nas ordem de serviço que é passado para uma equipe de carro forte que tem como uma pessoa especifica aquele que também controla. Então sistema checado, nextel (contato) ligado está o básico pronto para começar um dia como operacional numa mesa onde tem dois computadores. Uma com as planilhas de clientes, planilha gerencias e de controles no sistema. O outro computador tem como função por volta de três programas para realizar de forma eletrônica a abertura de cofres de caixa eletrônicos. Roteiros na rua como forma de largada apartir das 08:00 hs é o ideal para começar um roteiro que pode chegar até á 60 carros fortes e 15 carros leves, onde você tem como padrão e isso acontece de forma natural, conhecer pelo menos de tato cumprimentar seus funcionário, digo meus funcionários, pois minha função era controlar o que acontece na rua, os atendimentos executados, os não executados e o que mais é complicado de se lidar, o que chamamos de adrenalina constante, afinal c

En el laboratorio efectivamente había una persona encargada de llevar todos los resguardos frente a estos posibles acontecimientos, sin embargo, la empresa prefería tomar todas las providencias para proteger la salud de sus pacientes. Durante el resto del día, sólo tenía que responder llamadas, derivar, orientar al público en general, ingresar datos en una planilla, recibir visitas, organizar archivos y muchas veces, todo esto de forma simultánea. Aprendí a mantener la calma y a proporcionarla con gran éxito a personas que definitivamente llegaban muy molestas e impacientes. Debo decir que fue ahí en dónde me sentí realmente motivada a especializarme en alguna carrera técnica y obtener mayor preparación, La parte más difícil que me tocó vivir en mi puesto fue la impotencia al conocer la gran cantidad de gente que tiene cáncer, y la único que quieren en la vida, es poder solventar sus remedios que por lo demás son muy caros y a veces difíciles de conseguir. En otro punto, lo que siempre atesoraré, será la gran calidez de algunas personas, entre ellas; la Gerente de Recursos Humanos, la jefa de Dirección Técnica y algunas personas de finanzas quiénes me ayudaron cuando lo necesité. Cambias impresiones con los compañeros entrantes y salientes de como ha ido la jornada y se si hay alguna incidencia digna de mención. ocupas tu lugar asignado y te dedicas a cumplir con tu obligación de control de acceso y vigilancia de todo el material e instalaciones asignadas a tu seguridad.
Trato con los jefes de equipo bueno, directo y claro. Dudas se resuelven sobre el terreno y se solventan las posibles incidencias que se puedan producir en cualquier momento con el trabajador al que no siempre le gusta ese control constante de tu área asignada.
La parte más difícil de llevar es el estar lejos de tu familia, en otra ciudad que no es la tuya y a la que solo puedes ver durante cuatro días al mes, ya que necesitas trabajar todo el mes para poder juntar los descansos y así poder acercarte a casa 405km de tu puesto de trabajo para poder estar con tu mujer y tus hijos.
Lo mas apreciado del trabajo es el compañerismo existente entre los trabajadores de seguridad, que ante cualquier adversidad sabes que siempre tienes a alguien que te va a apoyar y ayudar ante una situación crítica y con la que puedes contar en todo momento,
