not the best
think long and hard before applying, this job is really for people that live a bus or 2 away from Laguardia airport, especially when there is excessive delays. don't expect to make friends just come and do your work, learn and grow. they are very clickish and will throw you under the bus. when u make an error they get up in arms because there is point system that get graded on and will be sure to let you know even in front customers. they dont know how to speak to people at all (some). the airline tells you the policy to follow but when you do their employees that work direct with them flex and will let you you're just third party infant of customers or inform them separately.
Proshad a good schedule
Consthird party, no benefits, no flight benefits from the airline, the airline changes policy and inform after the fact, airline does not cover majority of the damages to customers luggage, irate customers, location is not in a secure area, carousel is not in a secure area

Hostile work environment, poor leadership
Management creates a hostile work environment by intimidation, threat tactics and the corporate HR department refuses to do an investigation of these unacceptable practices. In my 20+years in the airline business working for an airline and then airline service providers, this is by fat the most undesirable place to work. Discussion with other stations in the system indicates that ABQ is not the only station with this systemic problem and is fact a part of the company culture. I believe this is mostly due to upper management being retired American Airlines management which was notorious for treating front line employees with little respect.
ProsNone to speak of
ConsMissing pay, irregular schedules

Productive Workplace
A typical day at work would start at 4 in the morning for all departing flights in terminal D/E at the Philadelphia International Airport. This job has allowed me to break out of my shyness and it's also allowed me to meet incredible folks. The hardest part of the job really depends on how one approaches streinous situations.
ProsProductive working place
ConsStressful environment

This jobs is the worst
The management is terrible. No one is every organize. Always cutting employees hours no matter the time of year or for any good reasons personal. They don't every have nothing ready when u ask them for something. Overall 1 of the worst jobs I have ever work with.
ProsNo pros
ConsShort breaks, no benefits, and no union

Ridiculous
I was told many times I could not do wheelchairs with United because I'm a woman. If you don't speak Tagalog, you're not going to fit in. People take 3 hour breaks, they sleep and eat on the job as well as fight with you over who gets the first passenger.
Management is a joke. They've been harassing me over at my second job trying to get me to sign paperwork.
