Overall Reviews at Performance Food Group
5.0
Has ESPN in the lunch room . But mostly we enjoy talking about the football games ourselves .
We are a family . We treat each other with respect. We do our jobs to keep our company growing and able to meet the needs of others and of those who look to PFG for a job and to use the blessings from working at PFG to take care of their families at home.
Proslunch room has meals in the glass windows, breaks, and lunches, safety pay which they pay on our Christmas check

Fast pace
Some people were there to make as much money as they could and it showed, some people didn't and it showed too. You get paid by the case, the more cases that you pull, the more money you will make.
If you pick 4 cases a minute, then that is 240 cases an hour. The job isn't that hard unless you just don't want to work, and it will keep you in shape.

Fun workplace and fast paced
I thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, which made it easier to assist my account owners and managers. Transportation & warehouse were always willing to go the extra mile to assist me in making my customers happy!
ProsRelaxed atmosphere
ConsNo room for advancement

good job if you want to skip the gym
The place is a total mess, Your schedule will change every day, most times between 10pm -2am sometimes you won't even be notified. They will promise you everything at the start, your own truck, a steady route, but the truth is you will never get any of that here. Most days your truck won't be loaded on time so you start your day already behind. On some days you will be waiting for drivers to return so you will even have a truck to drive. This company only cares about the bottom line, the employee's don't matter at all.

Plenty of work and money
I work there for 3 years and I made plenty of money. PFG is the type of job that becomes a life style. PFG will be the only thing you have time for. You get two days off but you will not fill like doing anything else but rest. It's very demanding on your body.
ProsGreat pay
ConsA lot of chiefs

A Good Place To Work
Received food orders, processed those via phone, ensured loss prevention for my customer base. Employee oriented company providing food services to Restaurant Concepts.

ConsRaises were minimal

Difficult office dynamics - negative
Communication between staff and/or departments is poor - lead to a lot of duplicate efforts. Unclear management objectives - not good review process for employees - terrible pay scale. Do not appreciate hard work, dedication or loyalty.
ProsLiked direct management
ConsLife work balance non-existent, poor pay & no internal upward mobility
