The people I've come to know
executive decisions are made without considering the consequences on employees. These decisions have caused countless employees to leave causing a tremendous hardship on the employees that remain.

Bad and inexpereicned managemt on the font lines with you and the client
Stay away and if you are a true HR professional. go somewhere else. Management is unfit to train or help you in your career.
They are very unfair against older workers (over 60)

Great company to work for
I enjoyed working at Paychex. All was great up until June. After COVID-19, a vast majority of employees were let go.
I feel they could have handled it differently. It was all Hush-Hush to other departments. Upper management did not plan accordingly. Several Depts. were left with no support team until days after they realized we were gone.
ProsBenefits, Work/Life Balance/Supportive Managers
ConsLack of Communication within Departments

It was a horrible company to work for. You’re overworked, underpaid. Not enough training and a little to no shadowing
So is an absolute horrible company to work for. They don’t train you properly and the workload is excessive. When they tell you that you’re hired you go into four weeks of training. That training is intense and aggressive. Then they put you on the phones or they put you into another type of training to get you through quickly. I was supposed to be assigned a large my clients to work with and I had one hour of shadowing
ProsGood benefit
ConsOver work under paid

Exceptional
The Jax/Orlando offices for Paychex was awesome! I ruined my job because of me and thats something i have to live with. They give you all the support you need, train you, mentor you and most of all challenge you. If you are a hungry young professional that will put in the work making calls and pounding the pavement you can make a ton of money. In 7 months I saw commissions upwards of $3500-$4000 a month on top of my base of $42K.
ProsTraining, management, pay
ConsTerritory was very big but more opportunity.

Best Employer
The work is stressful and management understands this. They offer small perks to make your day a little better. There is a great mentoring program and supervisors are always available to assist. This is the best company i have ever been employed with.
ProsBest place to work

Company transitioning to new service model - employees suffer
As a long time employee, I've seen the culture change drastically, and although paid time off is great, being a human individual is non-existent. I would not recommend the Jacksonville office. There is ZERO employee engagement, and the site manager for this office has a power complex, yet performs his job poorly.
ProsGreat paid time off
Consisolation and poor employee engagement

Great Place to Work If You're Focused
Fast paced work environment. Great place to work and grow. Provides adequate trying to do your job. also provides tools that you can use to get yourself ahead. The benefits aren't that good but they are competitive with other companies. Just like most call center settings there is drama but they do here you out and attempt to make the environment comfortable for everyone. Overall, I did enjoy working there. It's a lot to do and manage but if you stay focused and keep up its great.
