You are a number that can be replaced in a second.
Discipline is not fairly enforced. Peripheral treatment is the norm. Leaders never change when new contract is awarded so everything stays the same.
ProsGood hourly rate.
ConsLeadership show favorites and does not fairly enforce the rules.

You’re an employee number not a name!
Pay is actually fairly well but it sure isn’t the rate you’re legally supposed to get paid. They are really quick to make changes that suit them but if the company has to pay more, they will stall harder than the current administration in place. No growth, no opportunity, no support, nothing. The argument for everything is you get paid well enough to not complain.
ProsNone
ConsNo work life balance, treated poorly by higher. No representation to allow officer voices be heard.

Horrible company especially if you're black
Company is extremely racist to anyone other than white people, they deny any career advancement to anyone other than white people, scheduling is always an issue as the site commander doesn't know how to do it, pay is often late or inaccurate, and the place is very hostile.
ProsThe pay
ConsEverything surrounding the job

Great Stepping Stone
Very time consuming. Long days and long hours. It is very hard to balance out life and work with this job. If you work fulltime you will not have a life.
ProsHealth and Welfare
ConsShort breaks

No direction or communication
Paragon is a revolving door of employees coming and going swiftly. There is little to no training and an extreme lack of management. Pay is low for the expertise needed to work there and raises seldom occur. The owner of the Company cares more about big money than employees.

Undefined orientation
Absolutely across the board a giant cluster fudge bar. Personally confused on how it continues day to day. Kinda like wandering in a circle of darkness tripping over the door with each step. Poor pay poor EQUIPMENT maintenance if any poor hours
ProsFree air in rear
ConsOut of air

Company does not care about its employees
This position does not allow career advancement, the benefits are horrible, work schedule is not employee friendly, management does not care about employees. Overall, the work environment is unfriendly.

Paragon is an outstanding company that values customer service
Paragon System Inc, is a great company to work for, while there is no room for advancement in current job site due to limited positions. The atmosphere is an outstanding place to work. Daily operations include rather not limited to conducting security checks of facility exterior, monitoring security camera system, reporting any discrepancies, to chain of command and the processing of visitors arriving daily, and the casual rotation while monitoring traffic at entrance gate. The job sometimes can be exhaustion depending on exterior temperature and one tend to get complex ed on the job when there is no traffic nor visitors. While their is a joy to work with fellow officer, they are those, who lack the discipline when no one is watching.
Prosgreat paying job, requiring minimum physical involvement
Conslimited positions, no room for advancement

How are the working hours at Paragon Systems, Inc.?
Asked Jul 17, 2016
I worked 7 days a week at times as well as for 3 months straight had 1 day off every other week. If your a workaholic this job's for you
Answered Jul 22, 2021
Site will never be fully staffed. Our hours average 44 per week. You will choose a shift bid but it's just for show, they will schedule you when they need you because people are constantly quitting or going on drill weekends. You train twice a year and on those weeks everyone works 60 hours to compensate for half the staff being in training. You get threatened with write ups if you don't come in when called on your day off.
