The company has very mediocre food. Reminds me of a glorified Applebees. Be ready to play a serious game of politics if you wish yo move up the ranks.

As part of Westland High Schools program for the emotionally disabled I was a intern that helped before the store opened with prep work. These duties included preparing comestibles before cooking, wrapped silver wear, and cleaned tables.
This was the attempt by the high school in order to introduce my fellow classmates and I to the work industry.

It is a job
I worked at a couple different O'Charely's. The first ended up closing down so I transferred to a different location. Management does not care about you. Do not expect them to have your back. If you have good customer service, you can make decent money. Just do not expect any help. They talk about team work, but really it is not the company that helps you, it is your work friends. There is frequent clashes between the cooks and servers. Overall, the job ended up not being worth the stress for me and it took me waaayyy too long to realize this.

It's restaurant life
My time at Ocharley's was by far the best restaurant I worked at. Just like any restaurant there are going to be some things that you don't like, however at #344 I loved it there. We were a huge family we looked out for each other. Myself and others had the opportunity for advancement in the company. Yes some times of the years were slow and money was tough to get but if you have a positive attitude and are willing to a little extra the rewards are worth it. I miss the people and I am glad to say I have learned so much from working there. Ocharley's will always be my first choice

Fast Paced Friendly Atmosphere
O'Charley's is a fast paced, friendly atmosphere. From the time I open my bar to the time I close it, customer service plays a huge role in my day. Making sure the guests have what they need in a timely manner and have a great experience while at it. Working at O'Charley's has taught me time management and problem solving. Using teamwork to make the day run smoother. Management has been kind enough to challenge me with responsibilities such as inventory, liquor/wine orders, training new servers/bartenders, running informational meetings, and helping with schedules. I enjoy meeting new people and meeting their needs. This however can also be the hardest part of the job.

It is a wonderful job for students working through school. I loved serving and bartending. I made awesome money . Taking the step into management is where this started turning for me.

great over all place managment to lax and no care for employees or hard work
it has been a great place of business. the past few years it has went down hill. constant lack of communication, people can no call no show multiple times and still have their jobs. employees know to be at liqour store acroas street while on the clock and managment team knows it. employees not made to be in proper uniform. there is no room for growth or raises. managers talking about other mangers and employees to other employees. fratinaztion is also bad. family in the same departments and only promoting family and over looking hard working dedicated employees. there is also a high amount of sexual harrassment yet people to scared to speak up on they could lose their job.

Its a laid back kind of atmosphere, different shifts, good management team, and great menu options.
i have worked for ocharleys for 6years. They have taught me better multitasking skills, guest services, and more work experience.
