Confusion on every level
Mercer has bad management on all levels. The different departments do not work well with each other, if they even try to at all.
If you are employed in a call center position, your peers in other departments typically think of you as uneducated and many of your colleagues from other locations will prove this. The training changes every few months and again based on who is conducting the training.
Mercer is not in the business of helping it's clients just on keeping them happy long enough to collect money from them.

Great co-workers, good benefits
Demanding, fast paced. In the call center they play favorites and it is hard to advance. So many managers have left over the years. Extremely high turn over, work/life balance isn't great. Great co-workers, decent pay, good benefits. Stressful job.
ProsGood benefits
ConsPay is ok, not great job security

Great benefits, low compensation
There wasn't enough challenge and their salary did not fit my family's needs. However, their training was exceptional.
ProsI learned a lot
ConsLow salary

Great company, outstanding benefits package!
I loved my job at Mercer and wish I could go back ASAP! There is always room for growth. The leadership team always conducts employee evaluations to ensure their employees are on target and advancing. Loved working with my former employees who kept me going and the clients were absolutely fantastic to work with!

If was a great job, but the company was too big, IMHO. The building was beautiful, and they have a gourmet cafeteria. Trading was tough but fair. Lots of stress to pass State exams, but also lots of support from coworkers and management.

Mercer has severe intra-company culture issues.
Mercer intends well, and tries hard to make improvements in areas long-recognized as somewhat problematic, primarily due to size of the firm, and distribution of locations worldwide.

I was a contracted administrative assistant for a leave of absence. My leader for this assignment treated me as an employee, not a contractor. I handled very complex calendars.

Too few staff for the amount of work. Work being transferred offshore. Redundancies.
Mercer was a stressfull place to work and this was only recently addressed. Always busy, the work was always varied. Team meetings twice a week to update workloads and spread accross the team. The work/life culture was very good.

Work Culture
Mercer is one of the good organization which believes in diversity and innovation and at the same time Mercer is providing many self development programs for personal grooming. I am pleased to be a part of Mercer Family.

No advancement
Favoritism, no advancement, little training and little pay.
The most enjoyable part of the job were the employees, the co-workers.
ProsBarely any calls come in, located downtown

Productive and fun workplace with a gym and huge cafeteria, Table tennis table in the gym. Great management and learning experiance.
* a typical day at work was to complete the given target of jobs every day and keeping a track on the number of jobs by allocating the work to the team members. Making sure team achieves the target by the agreed standard time.
*management was very helpful in terms of growth, learning and by giving ad hoc work for our growth.
*I enjoyed working with my co-workers, all were very friendly and respectful to each other
*hardest part of the job was to make sure each and every team member played a vital role and mentoring them also in the absence of manager taking full responsibility of the team, which I believe managed very well and was successful in it which resulted into year by year promotions.
* I used to organize team activities every friday for the ANZ and US LOBs, those used to be the fun days of every week.
Prosfree breakfast, lunch and dinner depending upon the shifts. Cabs for pick ups and drops.
ConsCompensation was too low, benefits were not given to people working in the night shifts.

Great Opportunity for New Professionals
Great Opportunity for New Professionals
At Mercer, the professors are so helpful, friendly, and understanding. Like other universities, there are rules, but here they truly want you to succeed. With an average class size of around 22 students, you form personal relationships and friendships with your professors.
