Excellent Place to work!
Overall, great place to work, something different each day and I was challenged each day.
The people that worked with me were fun to work with, we became family.

Conservative, mid-western regional bank
Conservative, mid-western regional bank. Nice work/life balance with a good culture and people. Not always easy to execute strategy on the commercial side, particularly in nuanced industry sectors.

Not good place to work
They dont seem to care about their employees or their customers
push more work in same hours of the day - get rid of good employee to save $. Make employees drive to Columbus

Internal competition
Employees competed against each other for the same business and it was up to upper management to fix the problem, which they failed at. It created internal issues among employees and limited productivity.

Nice place to work and gain experience
Work environment allows for constructive conversation and task completion. Atmosphere and work load (stress) is typical of most banks. Like most banks it depends on your manager and team as to how you happy you are with your overall job.

Bad upper management
The only thing that kept me going at Huntington was my boss. He was the only one that cared and tried to get his to be the best. He was the only person that made sure that I was ok. But the upper management above him sucks. They dont speak and the are rude. There is no advancement there. And the pay is sucks
for three years. And they are

Management
My boss was a monster. The CEO called looking for my boss, I said I had to find him, and the CEO told me to "hurry up" (all while having to answer the phone while in the ladies room!!). They couldn't get another EA within Huntington to work for him, so they had to hire externally. I had know idea of his reputation. I lasted a year and a half before finding another job.
ProsNot a bad place to work, but it all depends "who" you work for.
ConsManagement doesn't always treat you well.

Excellent company
I enjoyed my time working there. Work life balance was excellent. I learned alot from working here and was able to take my leadership courses and learn at my own pace. Everything the company offered was awesome and I'm glad I had almost ten years there!
ProsCompany benefits, great people!!

Need to promote within prior to mergers etc.
All and all the company is great ! However when we acquire other institutions colleagues from the acquisition seem to be considered for positions before current employees with 10 plus years of tenure.
ProsColleagues
ConsHealthcare is very costly to the employees
