Easy for me to make commissions
Every time time I soared, they looked for East’s to reduce my commissions by half.
My sales excelled and I made 7,000 per week my manager said I was earning too much and cut my 15% commissions to 7%. One months later, after lots of sales, he cut it to 4%.
ProsEasy sales for me
ConsThey kept reducing my earnings. The rest of the sales department really struggled in sales.

Excellent place to work - management was very open to ideas for improvement
-This was not a typical 9-5 position.
-Typically worked weekend and holidays as this was tied to supporting the sales sites.
-The management here was great. Opened to suggestions. Took suggestions/ideas and was able to follow through to making them happen.
-Culture was very open minded about ideas and making change
-Hardest part of job, conducting/facilitating meetings across world wide time zones.
-Building relationships across the enterprise (all departments)

Great opportunity
Great company to work for, competitive wages and good learning experiences. Not much to compain about, they offer generous PTO, and hotel discounts. Would recommend.

No work/life balance
My supervisor came in rarely and when she did it was late in the day and then I was expected to work late, sometimes to 10 pm or later. Very reactive behavior; special rules for special people.

Great job but stressful
I really enjoyed working as an Inbound Sales Agent. It gets stressful at times when you cannot control if there are bad transfers or you customers do not qualify. You are great until you have a few bad weeks in your sales. Write ups happen quickly when you have bad weeks. You find yourself required at random to work a Saturday or Sunday out of no where. Hilton is a great company to work for as far as benefits.
ProsGreat benefits/ positive work environment
ConsStressful if sales are low/ mandatory time out of no where

Competitive, Fast paced, Strong Company
Currently, HGV is an independent publicly traded company with a mission to succeed in an already competitive, fast paced environment. Strong direction to succeed in the future.

Been So Long but I Remember the Dedication
HGV Direct Sales was an amazing experience. It was where I learned about how an organization "moves your cheese", haha! A new challenge every month, chasing the big challenge for the end of the year. My manager was (and is) a great manager. We were a tight-knight group in my department. It's not for the faint of heart, however, and the hours were long. Nobody ever said they weren't! It was a formative time for me and I remain grateful.
ProsCamaraderie and a Competitive bonus plan
ConsLong hours and High Stress; Only for team-oriented players

Management
Upper management and corporation is good at this property. The current Guest Service Manager is self centered and power hungry. If you question him he will find a way to retaliate.
ProsGood pay, PTO, and great employees.
ConsHealth insurance is not as good as casino properties.

One of my typical days at hilton would be getting to work and everyone is up laughing smiling enjoying each other company, making sales none stop
Management was amazing even team leads on the floor were very good at what they do often one person could make up to 12 sales a day if they are in the sales zone love the team vibes and the feeling of being around so much pride and warmth was everything. Frankly everyone i came into contact with really treated me like family rather than a co worker or colleague
