Substitute Teacher | Georgia | Jun 20, 2020
School days are some time hard
Work was rewarding and can be very exhausting, Most teachers have their lesson plans ready for you to use. I enjoy the time spent with students and getting a chance to see them learn.
ProsAble to choose your work days
ConsToo many children in one class

Sometimes you feel not appreciated.
nothing to say, there is an environment that one what make you feel uncomfortable at times. There are some nice coworkers there that make you feel that you are doing a great job.

Lack of Support
The position lacks needed support even when you beg for it. Great place to work on paper, but needs much improvement in reality. Compensation too low for stress level and work demand. Paperwork or students, sometimes you are expected to chose paper work (ex. IEP). That's sadening.

Nutrition Assistant | Lawrenceville, GA | Dec 3, 2013
Productive
In the WIC clinic, as coordinator and assistant nutrition, my fist priority is the client and be a good team work so I help when they need me on the service desk, voucher pick up, intake clients, nutrition class, inventory, I like everything I do but the most important is to help the client with a good impression our clinic and the service I can give them will be the best. I'm enjoy it what I do.
ProsI like my daily schedule

Generally easy caseloads, great schedule
Typical school schedule 7/8a to 4p. Typical week consists of managing caseload of up to 50 students. Interventions geared towards helping students access and participate in curriculum. Ex: fine motor, visual motor, sensory integration, etc.

Exciting to work for
Great staff. Students and parents are an asset to the school. CPR trained, Learned how to work well with parents, staff, and administration. The hardest part of the job was working with staff members who were not willing to be team players to advance.
ProsPositive environment
