My experince working at Golden Corral was the worst I have ever had.
Golden Corral for me was only a place to work until I could find better, more fulfilling employment. Golden Corral cares only about profit to the total exclusion of its employees.

Family oriented. Managers give you plenty of chances to succeed.
Family oriented work in the work place. Managers: Some are great some are not so great. Company gives you plenty of chances to succeed and keep your job. Does not fire many employees.

Fun experience went downhill after
The management was poor the hours and flexibility were not up to par if you are okay with others trying to take your shift in the manager approving it because of favoritism by all means work at that location I was in the Lansing location where the management had poor communication with the workers the schedule was for ever changing and also there was no guarantee of out time in the bakery position as well as prep cook position when I initially quit after 11 months I tried to reapply after a couple more months into the next year I was promised that I could come and work again for this company in this Lansing location and I went up there I bought shoes and everything only to be told that there was a discrepancy that went on between the managers and no communication between all of the managers as to me working so a manager initially promised me a job back and I never got hired because he lied to me and also at times the management was really rude and unprofessional and when we were allowed breaks they were still on our backs nagging us and picking with us the money was okay I definitely would say it was some good money depending on your hours and how long you worked in a day my check would average from 400 to 6 to 800 every two weeks depending on what position that I work in

It's a job
Typical restaurant job,okay wages for a food place. Most co-workers are nice. The building is very old and in need of repair. Overall it's what you would expect

Great 1st Job!
A typical day at work is slow except for the weekends and HOLIDAYS!! I learned a lot about the food service industry each and every day. The management was always willing to help if needed and the staff was sub par. The culture at GC was very hospitality driven and I think the hardest part was leaving it. While the most enjoyable part was the customers, especially the regulars.

I don’t have much to say about working with this company. I was always straight to the point with my work. Loved meeting new customers every day and being able to make people feel comfortable.

busy place to work, specially in lunch time.
the day goes fast in the kitchen area, first wash all dishes, then check the restrooms and then go and help in what ever they need to be done in the kitchen. like for example cutting vegetables or fruit. the management is good and what I learn was that it is important to keep all the areas clean for the customers and how important is the personal protective equipment. the hardest part was to clean the grease from the disher and the most enjoyable part of the job was seen the customers smile in their face, kids, women men all kind of diversity.
Prosfree luch just had to pay small percentage.

horrible management
The actual work is not hard. The customers are polite and enjoyable. The management and their rules are ridiculous. It is more like a junior high school than a business. The money is good, but the stress factor due to ridiculousness is not worth it.
