Fantastic place to work with and have impact for children
Our first year of sleep away camp was a sadly understaffed, disorganized mess and the experience for the campers and the staff suffered because of it. I was not able to reach my full potential due to a lack of staffing and time and scheduling.
Prosfree room and board
Consshort breaks, lack of staffing

Fun!
This was a volunteer position that I completely enjoyed while there. A troop is only as good as its leadership and what parents are willing to do to help troop leadership.

Unorganized
Understaffed. Underpaid. Little support. Constant restructuring. Being an organization for girls run mostly by women wish it gave a better example of what women really do in the workforce.

Great people, and great space to work, learn, and grow
The staff here are super supportive of everyone, and it's really easy to fit into a new positions here. Everyone is very welcoming, and it is clear that employees are valued. Weekly meetings are held to ensure everyone is on the right track, and overall the attitude is great. They try to keep a positive work enviornment, such as thanksgiving celebrations, there was a smores in the office day, and all kinds of fun activities.
Prosgreat environment, friendly staff, work culture

Great place
Best job I've ever had. No doubt. The ladies were amazing, everyone was so kind and always so supportive. I wish my position wasnt seasonal. I would have never left.

Too many Vague titles without specific knowledge of who is who. Multiple levels of management.
I was assigned to a run down building where I was often the only person in the building. The building I was put in charge of was an old church and was run down, filthy and rat infested. Windows were broken with pieces of wood or cardboard over it. One of the two emergency exits doors was broken/stuck with a note “Do not use”. Sinks in the bathroom were rotting. The downstairs area often used for meetings/gatherings had no emergency exits such as doors or windows. Staff from other locations often referred to this location as the “garage sale or thrift store” of [XXXX]
I spent my first 30 days cleaning, organizing and re-vamping the look of the entrance and front desk area.
Administration was remote and communication with administration was scattered and poor. My words got twisted and administration responses were vague. Promised training was not provided. It was often scheduled, then rescheduled and then cancelled with the empty promise of it getting rescheduled as soon as possible. I was let go after 3 months stating I was not a good fit.
They have a history of eliminating positions (And the person in them) and creating a “new” position with essentially the same duties with a different title.

Girls Advisory Board and Global Arms of Advocacy
As an older Girl Scout l worked with employees of GSSD and learned quite a bit about the internal workings of the organization and about problems that face women internationally.
