Typical Corporate Culture
we do have flexibility and remote work opportunities which is great. However, promotability is often seen as favoritism or it's necessary to play political games. That said, it's not dramatically different from what you'll find in other large companies.
ProsFlexible work and unlimited vacation
Consbenefits & pay are average.

Very difficult dealing with people
Old but need to renew itself. Company looks like more military camping. People don't respect each other, level is very low, culture is overall not good.

Stock is terrible and has no where to go but up.
GE Needs a good plan to recover from the Immelt CEO days. Everything was reported as being good to great until he left and then there were billions of dollars in shortfalls in the pension program and billions of dollars in debt. They also got rid of the pension for new hires a while ago. It used to be a great company to work for. People rarely left GE and now people with 20 years are leaving.

Great place to work, hands down
Worked here for just under a year until they laid me off at the beginning of COVID. Before that, it was a great place to work. Good work, good benefits, good hours, they would really work with you. I will never take it for granted again. I have a feeling they knew about some of the business issues before COVID hit, I wish they would have given a little bit better heads up but that's ok
ProsGreat pay, great benefits, good people
ConsLay me off, now I don't work there :(

Solid Company to Work
Over all job was easy to glide into. People were a little difficult as they had all worked together for many years and being the new person was not easy.
ProsGreat Benefits
ConsVery old systems to work with and no incentive for upgrade.

Great internship
This internship was exciting and helped me grow as a person. There was plenty of valuable work to do and they had numerous intern/co-op events that helped us create a friendly atmosphere.
