Good pay, Good amount of working hours, Travel, Paid transportation and housing
I've worked for this company twice and both times were different. The first time I worked for this company was in Long Beach, CA. It was a three month assignment. My transportation and housing was paid for. I worked 12 hour shifts and got paid good. I was paid weekly. I was told that I was getting a per diem, but the company ended up changing it. The hotel I stayed at was nice and clean. I will say that you don't have time for anything else BUT work. You only have time to eat and sleep unless you are willing to lose sleep. The place I worked at was okay. There was a lot of drama, but that's at any workplace. The onsite representatives for this assignment were very helpful and knowledgeable. They helped me with all my questions and concerns. The second time I worked for this company was in Eugene, OR. I had a terrible experience. It was supposed to be a 3-month assignment, but the same day I was hired, I was demobilized. The company made a mistake, so send us all back home. This is not why I had a terrible experience because I know things like this happen in crisis assignments. What was upsetting was Favorite's communication. I wish they would have informed us about being demobilized instead of hearing it from someone else. Also, the onsite representative for this assignment was careless and clueless. She just seemed not to care about our questions or concerns. Others were upset because they had left their jobs for this assignment. PROS: Good pay, Good hours, Transportati
ProsGood pay, Good hours, Transportation and housing taken care of, Paid weekly.
ConsNo per diem (depends on the assignment), Job Work/Life Balance is hard to manage, Assignment is not guaranteed.

Fun traveling, and exploring new places in Oregon
I really like Favorite nurses. They are super friendly and go out of there way to find work for you.i discovered some pretty neat places in Oregon on the coast and even as far as John Day,OR in a midle of a negative 10 degree snow storm..It was an adventure, accomodations provided in most cases and great pay.I loved exploring new towns and meeting people especially in smaller towns which they staff alot of.I was always greeted and treated well by hospitals I worked for and in turn provided the bst care I could for the patients they had,co-workers in smaller towns are mostly always very nice and get along well.Hardest part of job, packing and unpacking,a few run ins with police for speeding or when a cow hit my car ...I got glasses as deemed by dmv and have had no driving issues since Ive worn them consistently, travel in midle of white out winter storms,ugh....But once there, all good, and usually stayed a few days or longer.I love night shift, people work together well and you focus solely on patient care vs. politics and meetings. My favorite hospital,Tillamook,Or.People so genuine and caring, and strait up honest about stuff. And the accomodations with the nice hotel next to fed myer and goodwill thrift store,,oh and continental brakfast which I got and saved till I woke up in afternoon, the cheese factory..the town smells like cows..I love small towns and nice people who are genuine and also take work seriously..A great place to work,Im on a contract now but when it ends I want to w

Staffing office staff are a pleasent and friendly to work with. Very quick to respond to any needs.
I travel to 10 different hospitals on daily and/or contract assignments. I call and let the office know what my availability is and they are really good about getting shifts set up for me. They are always calling and/or emailing me with up coming offers. So you have a choice where you want to be or don't want to be. I learn a lot traveling to the different places because I am flexible and easy going so the assignments work well for me and my family needs. I run into other nurses from Favorite and heard good things from them as well about Favorite Staffing. I have been with them since 2009 and plan to stay with them. The hardest part of the job is not knowing if you will be working or not until 2 hours before the shift or going to a new place for the first time and that you never really establish relationships with others due to not going back to the same place daily. I do enjoy the constant change and challenge. I am able to gain greater strengths and learn many different ways of dealing with pt care and situations by not staying at the same place so this is advantage to travel nursing as well. I really like to be able to work around my families schedule and be there for them and with this job I can. The St Paul office and the after hour staff are always easy to work with.
Prosflexability with schedule.
Consnot guaranteed shifts, but the shifts are per need of the facility, and this can not be changed due the constant flux of the pt clientele, and the pay could be a little better at some hospitals.

Its A Job Here's My Short Review After 2 Years
The Job Is what You Make Of It. Scheduling Wise Some Weeks Your Canceled 98% of The Time. And One Thing I Disagree With is Them Canceling Shifts Before You Get Into To Overtime Lets Say You Book Your Self Monday Thru Friday & One Double.. You WILL Get Canceled For 2 shifts due to Facilities not wanting to pay overtime. Then As the week progress you May only End Up Working 2-3 Days. So You Went From A 37.5-45hr Work week to Only 15-22.5 Hours.. You Do get Paid Weekly qFriday So You Can Always Play Catch Up With Hours.. Most Of The People That Work In The Office Do not Care That Your Canceled They Making They Money & The After Hour Staff Do not Know Anything "They Favorite Line Is Check Back During Business Hours. & The Weekend Crews No Better They Do not Know Anything As Well. They All Can BE RUDE At Times. But Let You Call In They Ask The Reason But Do not Say Get Better, Sorry Your FAMILY MEMBER DIED Nothing Just Rude. There Inconvenienced They Have To Find A Replacement. But That Same Facility Can Cancel You 4/5 Days That Week and That's Acceptable. I Could Say So MANY MORE Things.. Oh They Dont Always Know The Address There Sending You To Fun Driving Around Wasting Your Gas and Time.. Not A Bad Company To Work For Longest Job I've Had 2 years in. You Pay For Your OWN CPR Class & TB Test.. So Keep Some Extra Money.. You Can Wear Your Own Scrubs..
ProsWeekly Pay & Flexible Scheduling.. You Pick Your Shifts Off The APP
ConsThey Will Not Stick Up For You. The APP Does Not Always Work

Horrible ending
I have worked for this company for 5 years , I did not have an issue till I had to relocate and move to Florida from Tennessee. I picked up my 1st contract job with Favorite, despite working numerous hours I eventually had to leave to complete army drill duty. I was not compensated for any of my overtime hours prior to leaving, contacted the agency through (the text payroll line), stated that I was stuck in another state and it was due to me not being correctly paid. The agency seemed to not give a care at all as I was texted back stating that my pay would arrive the following Friday . Well guess what ? Friday is here and I’m still not getting paid. This isn’t what I expected I volunteered to put myself on the frontlines of Covid 19 & now I’m at risk of losing my car, my apartment and other things due to not being paid. I was also promised a position upon my return from drill (since I had to fulfill my obligations to my country) I am Also getting pulled in every direction regarding that as well. I’ve called this company all times of the day wether it’s 1900, 0900 or 0300 and I am on the line listen to the phone ring for hours today I was on hold for 2 hours and 55 minutes. I have no choice but to run from this company (which saddens me, I have been employed PRN since being a private), but when my lively hood and dignity are at stake I have no other options
ProsFlexible schedule
ConsPoor communication, lack of pay, poor management

Crisis contract.
I have worked for Favorite for 3 weeks now. I’m working in the Denver area on a crisis assignment supporting local vaccination clinics. The work is easy, vaccination & observation. Job locations are mostly outdoors in parking lots, parks or RTD rail stations. The Good: Pay is above average for EMTs. Decent Per diem rate. Standard hotel room provided with a mini fridge, lacks a microwave, breakfast provided. Terrific on site that is pleasant and supportive. The Less than Good: I’ve had 2 paychecks come short of one days pay. Each due to a processing error at the payroll department's end. The pay will come a week late for that one day, but it’s frustrating that it’s happened twice in a row. There have been issues with access to clean and sanitary bathrooms several times. Some sites have no designated facilities at all for an 8 hour day. Transport has not been provided as advertised to and from the sites. As of now, gas will be reimbursed but not mileage. On average I’ve put 300 miles weekly traveling to the various sites. Several changes in how hours have been tracked since I've arrived. As of now I sign 3 papers to track my hours, all are submitted/recorded daily. It's less than ideal and has not prevented my paycheck from being short twice.
ProsProvided Housing. Per Diem.
ConsShort Paychecks. Poor Communication. No Transportation provided. Mostly outdoors.

Long hours with no management support
I loved the work that I was doing with this company and I met some fantastic people. Unfortunately, I was thrown into a group of teachers that did not welcome me. I made a lot of wonderful friends outside of the teaching clique as a result. I was shocked at how poorly equiped the facility was for teaching. There were no chalkboards, minimal materials and classes between 50 and 200 students. The kids were awesome and the direct care workers that I had contact with were wonderful. The hours were ridiculous. We had to be at the bus at 4:50 AM and did not arrive back until 8:30 PM. We were expected to work 21 days straight without a break, which was a recipe for burnout. The pay was excellent considering all of the overtime we were putting into the job. It was unnecessary to operate that way. And you never knew if you were going to work each day or have a day off. I was fired unexpectedly and with little explanation after a week. When I asked for all of the paperwork I had signed at the orientation, there was no response from the company. The unprofessionalism of this company is appalling.
ProsWonderful students, interesting coworkers
ConsUnprofessional operation, ridiculous hours

Excellent Company to work for. Flexible hours for a flexible life-style.
A typical day would begin at most of the time in a hospital setting on a med-surg, rehab or specialty unit. Reports of patients were given from previous staff, routine vitals were taken and computed in the patients charts in the computer. Special instructions were given from the nurses for each patient. I learned that team work is vital to excellence in patient care and patient satisfaction. I have extremely enjoyed working with the management of Favorite Health-care staffing. It has been a pleasant experience for me. I am hoping that one day Favorite Health Care Staffing will open an office in one of the counties that I live close to so that I will have the privilege of working with them again. The hardest part of the job is having to leave my employment with them because of a relocation. I loved every minute that I worked with Favorite Health Care. The most enjoyable part of the job was knowing that I could have the privilege of choosing the days I wanted to work.
Prosflexible hours, great pay, great work bonuses, pleasant company
Consmedical benefits, other better benefits for enployees

A Mixed Bag
Favorite definitely mostly doesn't care much about their temp hires. A lot of my coworkers have complained of getting shorted on paychecks, which is alarming. Also, zero job training. I got lucky that the people at my clinic were willing to walk me through procedures. The clinic I've been placed at is everything good about the job, favorite itself is everything bad. It's a temporary job and it's serving its purpose while I wait for my old industry to exist again post-pandemic, but I shudder to think what it would be like to be an actual medical professional employed by favorite. They just seem weirdly shady and absent and if I had a family to care for or med school debt to pay, I would be livid at favorite for their shady, sloppy management. The fact that I have the luxury to not care much is a privilege of being young, single, and healthy. It's pretty ridiculous that I'm "lucky" to have been paid correctly so far.
Prosflexible schedule, no limit on overtime
Consno ladder, absent management, shady practices, no benefits
