Overall Reviews at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts

An Wonderful Opportunity
I participated in their Summit Program, and I enjoyed it but be warned they put a lot of pressure on you! Long hours and you have to work weekends as well. Some managers are nice others are extremely rude. You deal with a lot of angry guests every single day.

Highly prestigious hotel.
Typically, it is a service-oriented company. Everyday we serve our clients and meet their needs.
From the job, I've learned to deal with different kinds of people.
Management is generally highly professional.
The hardest part of the job is to always please people no matter what it takes.
The most enjoyable part was being able to meet VIPs and being able to serve their needs.

Fairmont Hotels and Resorts is the best company I worked for! Enjoyed their hospitality benefits: employee discounted room rates, friends and family discounts and locations of their properties! LOVED IT!

Fast paced, customer related, always something new to learn.
Learned a lot of new things here. Dealt with new things at least once a week. The schedule was the only bad thing about it.

Family like place to work
Always felt like I was part of something bigger than myself with people around me that I can rely on. Feels like being part of a family. there is plenty of career advancement. Started at the bottom and worked my way up to the top with great mentors who helped me along the way.

Great learning hotel
Very dynamic hotel with both long standing employees and young leaders. Enough challenges to keep yourself busy and the job really interesting. Great company culture where you feel being part of a family.

Great company!!
They really care about their employees! Hospitality is a very fast-paced environment where you have to deal with multiple tasks at the same time and even through-out the day. Not a perfect fit for everyone but if you have that skill set then this is the place for you!

The hotel itself honored to their employees they felt that with happy employees their were happy customers, they honored their employees every chance, bonuses, activities, fund raisers, formal events, etc..... if it was not for hurricane Katrina I know I would still be employed.

It was a great place to work, kind and considerate employees in a comfortable environment. This place is focused on making their customers happy, as well as their employees with many benifits.

Slow place to work
Slow place to work, good place to get the basics right in case you are a fresher and starting from scratch. Management is alright, could do better though.

Exciting place to work. Great opportunity to receive experience in so many different areas.
I thoroughly enjoyed the work I did. It is a wonderful opportunity to try to turn moments into memories for our guests each and every day. It is also a privilege to work with a group of highly talented people.

Crafted into a Masterpiece
The Fairmont has been in a way my training ground as it contributed to who I am today as Member as a Leader. A typical day will always be full of excitement amid all the odds as the Team stand s solid with the management backing you up to exercise ownership in every given chance to shine and exceed expectations recognizing all efforts done in every way and transparent to point out any mistakes for my growth. The hardest part of the job are the times when we have to work back to back casting out all dramas, with a tear have to continue whatever my hand finds to do and to meet the target but this does not end in vain as at the end of the day I felt so complete and satisfied knowing that I have contributed to the success of the Team and gathered additional knowledge which I can somehow cultivate for a fruitful endeavor.
