FUn workplace
You manage your own time. No work no pay. I like the work environment. I work from home. I just log in anytime. I work as an independent contractor. It would be nice if they offer full time job for remote interpreters.

Good rate per minute and good volume
I just started with this company as a contractor and it's gratifying to be paid fairly for my work. So far, the call volume for Spanish has been there and the incentive pay for busy days is fabulous. No, you don't get benies as a 1099 employee, but you have complete flexibility as to when you want to work. If you can manage being a contractor without benefits, it's definitely the way to go. I wish other OPI companies would pay more. I can't believe the garbage rates some OPI companies pay. You want to pay those kind of rates? Good luck finding qualified interpreters!

Productive, comfortable place
Cyracom International is a great place to work at, it provides a very calm atmosphere in which one can be productive in the line of work. The company gives back to the employee, and not to mention the benefits are rarely unmatched by many companies in the same line of work. additionally Initial pay is above average and raises are based on quarterly performance. PS. if you are a student they work with your school schedule and the head of HR in the contact center is very approachable in (Tucson Az location )
Proscatering once a month, advancement opportunity, and incentives. great job for students
Consshort breaks, call volume

Productive Fast Pace
I really like that they allow you to work from home. They also allow you to change your schedule with enough notice. I love that you can work overtime without restrictions. Since I'm home I love it. Also, there are opportunities to become a supervisor or a trainer pretty quickly. The supervisors are very nice & easygoing. There are no meetings. The supervisor calls you once a month to review your monthly report. they have a monthly contest on attendance in which you win a gift card. If you get a commendation from a client you also receive a gift card. I learn new words daily that I add to my vocabulary. It's not an easy job. However, it can be rewarding to help people in different scenarios.
ProsYou get Thanksgiving & the day after paid off, as well as you Xmas Eve & Xmas day Paid off
ConsYou need to use your own time if your internet goes out for long

Good to get your feet wet with interpretation, but stressful
Thanks to this job i can now safely say i know both english and spanish fluently in all matter of subjects such as 911, medical, insurance, law, etc. Management is really supportive, at least in the tucson congress center, but even after 6 months, job gets too repetitive.
Prosgood expirience
Constoo repetitive, stressful calls.

Ok place to work if you don’t expect excitement
They give you paid training and then you get assigned a cubicle under a supervisor who rose from your ranks. The work is repetitive and can get mind numbingly boring. Occasionally you feel you’re actually helping people but must of the time is plainly boring. If you stick to your schedule and don’t extend breaks or lunch times, arrive on time and don’t get caught with NIs( Needs improvement) you can get a raise whenever raise time comes. As jobs go, it’s ok. There’s an enormous turn-over of people and that should give you an idea of what to expect.
ProsPlenty overtime available.
ConsYou can make supervisor easily but is it worth it?

Good place to work and learn
I worked at Cyracom for less than a year. This company train you very well to work as an interpreter. It has a good working environment. Excellent medical insurance. The pay is not that good for the work you have to do.

Value your Human Resources better. Your employees are the core of that company. Interpreters do a tremendous cognitive job. The policy of this company si extra stressful for interpreters. I have never met a happy Cyracom interpreter like I do from other interpretations companies. To me, working for Cyracom Is the most frustrating experience of my life

Interviews are conducted over the phone, where a representative who speaks your target language will administer a brief knowledge test that will assess both your vocabulary and memory/note-taking skills. Once you pass, you will go over possible schedules.

Does cyracom pay weekly or biweekly?
Asked Sep 22, 2016
Your pay gets deposited monthly but you earn your pay by the minute. For example, you get paid for your January calls the last day of February so you have to wait a very long time to get paid.
