Toxic environment with incredibly toxic management.
There is a constant rotation of managers and employees due to the fact that this job is taxing and there is little to no room for growth. On top of that management is usually harsh and uses passive aggressive punishments as a way to whip their employees into shape. For 5-8 hour shifts they would remove the stool behind the desk to keep employees on their feet. They also force black and brown employees to cut off their “unprofessional hairstyles” before allowing them to work. So much for a no judgments gym. They punish employees for not doing anything but provide those same employees with nothing to do. They do nothing to encourage their employees to succeed. There is a clear immaturity that can be found in management and in the way this place ran.
ProsFree gym use, friendly employees
ConsShort breaks, boring, no room for growth, rude management, pushy owner, disorganized

The member relationships were the only plus.
In all my 30+ years in fitness, I’ve never worked for a company that mistreats and takes advantage of their employees the way Crunch does. It didn’t matter I had a full book of business. The higher ups are very cold and abrasive. I chose to take my talent elsewhere.
ProsLoved training the members
ConsNever appreciated. A lot of under handed scheming going on

Worst Job Experience of My Life
This was the absolute worst job experience of my life. I couldn't afford to live or pay bills or food. The clients use you, the management chooses who gets the clients not just that those that need them recieve them. If you're looking to be employed with no hours and so much unpaid work in planning the workouts if you do it the right way that its just not worth it. You get hardly anything of what the client pays for, for the session.
ProsMake your own schedule
ConsEverything else

Active and fun workplacewith free membership!!
I absolutely loved working here. I made friends with my coworkers fast, most of whom were college students as well, I created relationships with the kids and their families that came in which are still active! I did not find too many things wrong with Crunch other than one manager who micromanaged and it just pushed my limits. The big boss was/is one of the friendliest guys you'll come across, although, at first, he can be a little intimidating. Honestly, two of my favorite aspects of the job was the fact that I was granted a free gym membership and the other was that employees were able to go to the movies for free, which is practically next door. It is not a very uptight place, but it stays professional.
Prosfreee membership, benefits from other businesses (sushi, movies, shaved ice)
Conswork was somewhat repetitive, monthly goals NEED to be met, manager detests 2nd jobs

Great atmosphere
Young, hip work environment. Friendly supportive team. A little too corporate minded, tho. The company needs to be more diverse in their Georgia locations.

Crunch Review
Job at the front desk can be very fast paced. You will learn to be great at multi-tasking, customer service, and enjoy it. For me, the best part of the job is the people that you meet, whether they be members or coworkers.

Great environemnt to learn and grow with the company
I have been an employee with Crunch Fitness for just over 2 years. The process began with an interview as a Group Fitness Instructor. They saw my passion for fitness in an audition interview setting and it was go time from there. Since I started, I have been given many opportunities to grow with the company. I have been given free continuing education, constant guidance and challenges to take me to the next level. The Crunch Fitness family is world wide and not only do you receive support from your home team management but also from managers, coordinators, and other instructors across the world. Every job comes with struggles but this company continues to work a long side their employees through the thick and thin. I highly recommend working for this company.
