productive and safe
Crate & Barrel has a great work ethic but make you work Holidays in exchange for a floating days. I guess that means they don't have good family reunion ethics. The pay is well but the supervision could be better. Good performers don't get reworded or compensated. Where as bad performers are never seen get demoded or get back to standard level work. They still remain there. Over all they have good safe practices and great benefits.

Retail during the holidays, people wanting many things and unhappy if you can't deliver. This is to be expected for retail. My first experience in retail.

ConsMulti tasking to the extreme. NO guarentee of work hours in one week, could only get 11 hrs some weeks.

Excessive turnover and system changes / reorganizations
A typical day involves interaction with customers ranging from very pleased to those who are extremely upset. Satisfying those needs is both enjoyable when successful and equally the hardest aspect of the job when no solution is satisfactory.

The people made the difference.
The vast majority of the people that work in the Contact Center are truly dedicated, customer-focused associates. They love the company and they want our customers to be completely satisfied with every aspect imaginable. The most enjoyment I had on an ongoing daily basis was when I helped others resolve their problems. I offered sound, logical advice along with a positive attitude- and the associates responded very favorably to it.
ProsGreat people to work with.

Great people
I have never worked at a place where I have genuinely liked every single person I worked with. For a call center environment, it was pretty great. The management use to host lots for incentive programs that would allow you to select product. They also provide a descent discount so that I was able to purchase the items I love.
ProsGreat people
ConsLocations limited, needs better productivity measures.

Fun Place to work
A very fun place to work with great product and great associates, but if you are looking to advance above the manager level or on to the corporate location - choose another retailer.
ProsGreat Product; Generous discount; Great people
ConsLow compensation; little advancement opportunities

A great, productive work environment with excellent co-workers.
A typical day at work consisted of retrieving items requested by sales associates and organizing the stockroom. The only flaw was the lack of communication some of the management had with the merchandise team.
ProsGreat co-workers, good hours, low stress
ConsBenefits only offered to full time, poor communication from management
