Compensation: $18.00/hour, plus Full Benefits
Start Date: Start dates available in Fall 2021, on a rolling basis
Role Description:
Florence is one of the leading Medicare primary care physician organizations in the country, serving tens of thousands of Medicare beneficiaries in the Southwest U.S., and now expanding nationally to meet the current surge in demand.
We are excited to open a number of positions for passionate Medical Assistants (MAs) to join our virtual patient care team. Our Patient Monitoring & Support team is made up of dedicated nurses and medical assistants delivering virtual care and proactive check-in touch points to our Medicare patients as a devoted "side-kick" to the primary care physician (PCP) in between our patients' primary care office visits.
If you join this team, you’ll be given a panel of approximately 400 patients and will be responsible for monitoring and managing each patient’s chart and emerging clinical needs, providing primarily phone-based and virtual care and engagement to each patient on a monthly basis. Health care is stressful, especially as we all put miles on our bodies as we get older, and our team (from the physician to the medical assistant) is devoted to making the health care experience better for each one of our patients, being there for them in good times and bad.
Florence provides market-leading compensation and benefits to our clinical operations team in order to attract the best and brightest. Additionally, due to the current public health requirements, the position will begin as Work From Home upon joining, with substantial remote training and onboarding, and will convert to in-office in Greater Phoenix in the coming months as the quarantine passes.
Our Key Hiring Criteria:
- A strong work ethic your patients and your teammates can rely on
- Strong team spirit and “team-first” mentality
- A bright, problem-solving mindset + attention to detail (health care is complex and each patient is a unique person / case)
- Personability (enjoy talking to people, and talking to patients in particular [note that this role involves primarily phone-based and virtual patient encounters])
- Tech savvy (nimble picking up and navigating multiple technology tools and applications) and thrives in a fast-paced, modern office environment
- Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) qualification required
Florence is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. We are all humans!
