Overall Reviews at Costco Wholesale

Fair with wages
Although it was a fast paced environment, it was well managed except for often being under staffed. Costco is a great company for the customer and when working on a Sunday, they did offer a differential that many retailers don't.

Some locations are great, others are awful.
Don't work for Costco in the Texas region. It's a whole other company and set of values. Good 'ol boys, rule! I have never seen so much drama stirred up by management, as in Texas. They are always looking for ways to get rid of the people they don't like (for whatever reason, usually for wanting to move up and expressing it to the wrong manager).

An employee needs to practice humility, realize there are dues to pay and be ready to work hard in order to succeed at Costco.
Working at Costco requires high energy, meeting customer needs first, focus on what is required, having strong visual-spatial abilities and being a team player.

Costco was great. They have amazing benefits and the best company structure. The company cares about their employees as well as their customers. The great structure of the company makes it a very rewarding career.

pharmacy tech position is underpaid and over worked
pharmacists were great with helping to learn and answer questions
the computer system is SEVERELY outdated, I transferred from CVS who had a very high up to date system which took a while to learn when moving to costco, literally like pre-historic. the pay is better and benefits are AWESOME at costco but hard to make a living as a pharmacy tech at costco, they go on years you work not the quality of the work you do.

Good benefits and good long term job
I had a hard time here because of a lot of favoritism. People were hired being related to other co-workers not because of work ethic. Those people then got special jobs and treatment. Plus if you were a but kiss you tend to get the same treatment. I did not like it here. I work hard and I'm good at what I do. It felt like pushing a big rock up a hill to try and get somewhere there.

Great
Costco is a great place to start a part-time job they offer benefits to part time employees and on Sunday they offer a time and a half. If you can work in a high-volume place than it’s perfect for you

Stressful and alot of favoritism
Wouldn't recommend, not very rewarding. Always worked extremely hard with it being unnoticed. Care more about sales than employees. Was bullied there, not only by employees but by management aswell
