Duties

The clinical therapist is responsible for providing clinical services to patients in a variety of settings. This includes medical, physical therapy and occupational therapy with an emphasis on the use of appropriate therapeutic techniques including exercise, nutrition, sports medicine, etc. Provide direct patient care through various methods that are consistent with established standards of professional care.

Detailed job duties include:

  • Provide clinical care to patients in a supportive, collaborative and professional manner.
  • Develop treatment plans for clients that are consistent with the goals of the program.
  • Develop an effective plan of care which includes planning, developing, administering therapy interventions, providing supervision/training as needed, managing patient confidentiality and maintaining records.
  • Provide direct services including but not limited solely to assessment, diagnosis, management, education, referral, discharge planning, documentation case management, follow-up counseling and other support in all aspects related to client care.

Qualification

  • Licensed clinical therapist in the state of California
  • Current CPR certification required, or ability to obtain within 6 months from date of hire and maintain current license as determined by state law
  • Must be licensed for at least one year prior to start date
  • Must have experience working with patients who require special care, including but not limited to: acute pain management, chronic illness treatment, trauma therapy, post-traumatic stress disorder, neuromuscular disorders and neurological disorders
