Duties

The clinical director is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical programs in collaboration with other clinicians. This professional will coordinate all aspects of patient care including planning, scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance, compliance management, supervision training communication and administrative support to ensure that patients receive appropriate treatment while maintaining their dignity and independence. Must also provide excellent customer service through effective communication between physicians, nurses, pharmacists and staff members. In addition, the person in this position will be responsible for developing and managing an integrated team of providers who are committed to improving outcomes by working collaboratively across multiple disciplines within our organization.

Detailed job duties include:

  • Manage the clinical team and provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, researchers and other professionals.
  • Provide direct patient care in collaboration with all levels within the organization including medical staff, physicians, nurses, pharmacists and social workers.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients that are consistent with established standards of practice.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on quality improvement initiatives such as Assures compliance with regulatory requirements (ie: OSHA/ICD-9).

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a clinical director with an emphasis on the development and implementation of therapeutic interventions for patients with chronic illness/injury; including at least 3 years working within a multidisciplinary team setting
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously is preferred
  • Experience leading teams to achieve goals
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
