I loved working for Cigna
Cigna is a great employer they take care of their employees and promote diversity and good work life balance I've been with them for almost 30 years and if it wasn't for business changes I'd still be working at Cigna

Lots of employee resources
Ok benefits, good people to work for. Could use better training and communication. Definitely company need come first - hard to balance life and work.

Don’t work here
Seriously, don’t go any apply. They make it seem promising and like they want you to succeed but really they trap you, don’t care about you or how you are treated they care more about call volume and that’s it. An absolute nightmare trying to move up. Please, spare yourself.

Great Experience
I began working with the company right after graduate school and I have learned an immense amount about the healthcare field and healthcare business. I think that there are a lot of different opportunities available to people with a variety of experiences and backgrounsd

Wonderful experience--until Agile management took over.
Cigna is a fine company and my first 2 years there were very rewarding. However, in the past year the company was reorganized and Agile management took over. A grave error, in my judgement. Everything became deadline oriented and stressful. Your calendar is burdened by Agile meetings instead of time devoted to your job and career development.

Productive Work Place
Overall the work is manageable, high volume call center can get hectic at times. Great sense of diversity in the office and coworkers are usually in good spirits. Biggest negative about this place is the Poor management!

Decent pay if you want drama
After working for 3 years at Cigna, management waited until I had to go on disability to fire me. This is after I reported my manager to her leadership and attempted to find a way to contact HR. The retaliation by management goes unchecked and you are not going to promote unless you’re a favorite.
ProsPay, PTO, paid sick time, training
ConsManagers are unprofessional, drama in the workplace, no support from leadership, they play favorites, no one is ever held accountable

The preauthorization department was stressful. Case management was less so.
Overall my work experience at Cigna was satisfactory. At times it was very stressful. Some managers were not proficient in explaining exactly what their expectations were. Medical directors ranged from excellent to fair.
ProsFriendly, professional co-workers.
ConsStressful work environment.

Pay &Benefits are great but not worth the mental stress
Management is a joke . They claim they care about the employees but they don’t. If it doesn’t benefit them they could careless. Metrics are a complete joke.
ProsPay good
ConsMetrics, management are a joke.
