The Name
DONT DO IT You will soon regret working for this complant. You are lured in by the name. Butyou will soon realize that it is not a great company to work for.

There's pros and cons....
A normal day at work has a standard framework. Check the queue, work on the queue, and work on projects. i believe as far as my current org (CWx), and prior org (AMS), that holds accurately. There's not enough people for the amount of work, regardless of how veteran the members are. I learned a great deal more in my second occupation as a system engineer and grew to really enjoy Linux. The workplace culture varies. Professionalism is touted but not always adhered to when it should be. The hardest part of my job is a combination of the available learning opportunities for internal transfers and the difficulty of the day to day job itself. If someone is internally hired, some degree of formal training should be provided to an extend, not just simply being put with a mentor and diving in. Not to say that method doesn't have it's merit, but it's not a sustainable model for higher retention.
ProsFitness Center, benefits, basic exposure to many IT elements
ConsTraining, adherance to company culture preferences across all orgs, toxicity in certain orgs, easily attained burnout.

Productive and fun workplace with charitable involvement in the local community.
Cerner is a good company to work for particularly if you're located in Kansas City. It's a large corporation with ample opportunity for growth.
The company also does a lot of charitable work within the community.

Great clinic, corporate not so much
First of all, I absolutely love my job and the people that work in my clinic. On the other hand, Cerner Corp. treats their clinics like a hobby. The EMR is their core business and the clinics seem to be an afterthought. I can only speak for my clinic, but we are one of their largest and corporate support seems lacking.
ProsTop-notch clinic staff
ConsPoor corporate support

Supportive Working Environment
Great team working together to support the clients and implementation of project and solutions. Learn from colleagues and cross solution training and support.

Cold upper mangers and C-Sweet
Company was ran much better a few years ago before original CEO passed away. New way of management is all profit driven and you are a number to make that happen. Good start if your out of college, if you want to work 80 hrs a week and be paid salary at 40 hrs.

Good place for college grads
Cerner is a great place for recent college grads to start their careers. There are numerous rolls to be had and you don't really know what you'll be doing until you start working there, due to the academy system in place.
If you are placed on a good team, you'll most likely enjoy your job. Work is pretty standard - if you are a business analyst, you'll most likely be working in Excel, Tableau, and similar programs to accomplish the tasks at hand. If you are a consultant you'll typically go to client sites and perform work there.
ProsDecent benefits, cafeteria and cafe, gym, pool, different campuses around KC
ConsCan be long business hours depending on the position

Frendly atmosphere and great benefits
The culture is something you notice as soon as you enter the lobby. It's bright and open space with great atmosphere. The people are all friendly and helpful to one another. It's a very team-oriented work space.
