Overview

We are a community-based company that has been in business for over 30 years. Our mission is to provide the best care possible by addressing the holistic needs of community members. As a care manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of facility operations including scheduling, staffing, maintenance and cleaning. The care manager must also demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as ability to work independently or collaboratively within varying environments.

Duties

The care manager is responsible for the care of children and adults in a residential or community setting. This includes providing supervision, training, education, support, guidance and other services to foster youth at their home. They will also be responsible for managing all aspects of child care including daily activities and meal preparation.

Detailed job duties include:

  • Manages the care of children and families in a safe, nurturing environment.
  • Provides supervision to children with special needs as needed.
  • Provides education on appropriate behaviors for each child/family member within their community.
  • Assure that all children are properly fed by parents or guardians according to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains an orderly home setting through daily activities such as feeding times, meal times, etc.
  • Monitors attendance during meals and other events including but not limited only to: food service meetings, social gatherings, family visits, etc.
  • Ensures proper use of equipment.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, social work or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a care manager
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience is desired
  • Must be at least 18 years old to perform the essential functions of this position
  • Ability for teamwork within a fast-paced environment that requires flexibility when dealing with multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills including ability to maintain confidentiality while working under pressure from others
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
