Very nice, friendly and helpful staff and Comoany
One of the things I loved about this Company is you and your potential client to able to Vet one another to see if they would be a good fit. I think this gives you and the potential client to ask one another any questions that would come up or need to be discussed so you can get to know one another’s personality, needs and concerns.

Alot of flexibility
In this line of work, there is room for improvement. Your job is very flexible but It has to be taken very seriously since you deal with other people's lives.

great for longevity
great company to work for if you need flexability. No one to breath down your neck and at the end of the day you can be happy about really helping someone. The benefits are good as well.

Was good for what it was
Started caregiving with IHSS in hish school. It was good money for a teenager but not enough money for a grown up. I appreciate it being available. They just make you go through so many hoops. You even have to start working and not getting paid for about 3-4 months sometimes. You have to spend money to get fingerprints etc. However, once you get the ball rolling you would be happy you got it rolling.
ProsReliable source of income once it gets going, in my field of Nursing
ConsPoorly organized

Good
It has been a great work experience learning how to take care of my elders and making sure they get everything they need. It helps me to let them know they are appreciated.

Great!!
I worked as part of an in-home care giver team who were responsible for having daily visits to clients where we were responsible for the following duty’s: food prep, bathing, house cleaning, transportation, to any doctor appointments. This was a Monday to Friday position with some on call weekends. I ended my position here when my hours were cut and half due to budget cuts in the facility.

did not directly for CDSS
I currently work for Service First of Northern California. I do not work directly with California Department of Social Services. CDSS is through the state.
