Production
I did learn a lot working here, although the moral of the company was not good. It was mentally abusive and not a family oriented company. If you were sick or had a family member that was sick you had to use a personal day and use a vacation day. They were not great to you if you were on workmans comp or light duty. They didn't care for the overall health of their employees and mistreated them. My experiance from this company was a 0 out of 5. I would never recommend anyone to work here.

Cabelas was a good company. Basspro made many changes.
Store management changed how they deal with employees after Basspro took over.
It's ok how it is now. Typical retail.

Great place to gain knowledge of everything you need to enjoy using outdoors. Firearms Specialist, Run background checks on customers buying firearms and assuring forms where properly field out. The hardest part of job was keeping up with changes in dailey changes in firearms purchases.

Good place to work
This was in the camping department working with staff to display. Very busy area with a lot of customers. I enjoyed working with customers to get them the product best suited for their adventures.

Great work culture when it was Cabela's. They seemed to genuinely care about their employees and sometimes training took place at the headquarters in Sidney, NE.

Good communication, good training
I was a manger for Cabelas but started as worker. Loved my job. Husband relocated or i would still be there. Management was great. Training for whatever you wanted. Excellent discounts.

Excellent place to work
I miss every day of not being there. I truly loved working there. The management, my co workers, the customers - everything about that place was great. They provided training and benefits, and the opportunity to advance was practically limitless. If I could have stayed, I would have.

Growing Retail Establishment - Fun, but it's a grinder
My day was ever changing, which was awesome. Each moment presented it's own challenges. Growth potential is awesome if you are able to travel, or are able to relocate. I was not able to do either. My boss was awesome. I miss my boss and and my job. Not too many people can say that. The pay wasn't great, but it was made up with the discount.
If you want to work your butt off, travel, and have a lot of fun using great gear - CABELA'S IS FOR YOU!
