Overall Reviews at C.R. England

Do not go with cr england
CR has to the be worst company to work for in the trucking industry. The school is a slave mill, you are forced to drive team with 1 or sometimes 2 other people, and they only pay 24 cents a mile TO THE TRUCK. That means, you split what it pays to the truck between drivers. You never see home and you are absolutely owned by the company. Get your CDL by yourself and then look for another company to train you. DO NOT GO WITH CR OR THEIR FARCE TRAINING PROGRAM.

I loved the high pace and the energetic atmosphere everyone had to work together as a team to accomplish the company's goals.
I loved working for CR England they did a very good job with training there employees and making sure that we understood what they expected. They were not shy about giving bonuses,
Prosyou had a team to work with, drivers/driver manager, load planner, customer service, account managers, in order to make sure that the job was compeleted
ConsThey lost a few accounts.

Anyone should RUN from this company. No money, No money, No money, and they consume your life. Learning to drive trucks there was great, but that's it.
ProsGreat Training for learning to drive large trucks.
ConsNo money, No money, No money, and they consume your life.

Great job until they cut my pay by 60% after 5 years of working for them
Not a fan of this company. Lots of empty promises and fluctuation of pay. The upper management only cares about filling their pockets with silver lining. I watched about 30 people go through the horrible lay offs and the bad company policies. Not a fun place to work.
ProsTaught me about mass recruiting
Consstandard call center environment, horrible upper management

good starter company no money down
not a good career company, no way to move up without becoming a trainer and they are not very supportive of their trainers. they expect them to be awake way to often or sleep behind an inexperienced driver. allows for to many mistakes and dangerous driver conditions.

Mother was boss and had flexible hours
My mother was in need of help so she asked me. I would go in and take care of paperwork and perform clerical duties. There was very flexible hours and worked well with my busy high school schedule. I learned how to keep things organized and how to do things timely. I loved the co-workers and worked well with everyone. My job was not what I loved which often made it hard and tough. The most enjoyable part was that I was around my mother and the flexibility of hours.

Very poor place to work if you have a family of any kind!!!!
I attended their CDL school and received my CDL, It was overpriced for the amount of actual instruction I received. I seriously could have studied the CDL manual on my own and gotten my CDL on my own. The only thing they really did for me personally was provide a truck for me to take the test with. I did meet a lot of great people, but that was about all I can say. The pay is very low, as the freight rates for the loads they haul are slashed so low, that they cannot pay driver very well and still make any money. They set up their trucks so that the modest fuel mileage goals they set for you to succeed as a lease operator is very hard to obtain, even at 62 MPH. A lot of the loads i hauled for them are very tight, and demanding and do not leave any room for any issues that may arise along the way.
Prosyou can get your cdl and obtain the experience needed to get a much better driving job, but you will go broke doing so.

Trucking company
The owners of the company were great and pleasant to work for. However management was not. They pick and chose their favorites. The work was great and I learned alot about the trucking industry.
ProsGreat owners.
ConsNot so great management.
