Overall Reviews at Burlington Stores

Hardest part was dealing with sour customers.
It was a fun job. They expect you to work, but if you prove to be a good worker, you get quite a bit of independence. The company culture is great, they strive to be inclusive and they hear employee voices. The new employee/new management training is a bit lacking, but as long as you have good coworkers who will show you the ropes, you'll be fine.

A great place to work in a dynamic team environment. Fast Pace growing company with many opportunities especially for new millennial's. Great Benefits and work environment.

Okay
Doesn’t pay enough for all the responsibilities handed to you. Not a very good working environment. Employees don’t last long and so we’re always undermanned.

Unorganized management, NO communication skills also from management. Lack of sanitation. Everyone gets sick.

Awesome coworkers
Worked harder than a lot of full time employees and was more valuable so should have been given a better pay. Loved my coworkers and my time working there.

Very stressful
You have to work every penny that you own. Friendly environment, customers very demanding most of the time. No professional training. You are on your own and always very hectic and tense.

Use to work there back then the Management was awesome we always had a contest and Employee of the month I Got picked twice in a month it was a good place to work, I can not say how it is now. I haven't been there in years since I left, I can say its all new Employees there I saw a couple of my old Employees and that's what they said. The reason why the old employees left they were under new Management and they didnt want to give more money.

Restructure killing the company
Burlington as a company decided to restructure management eliminating a manager from 100's of locations. They did this with little notice and offered those managers the option to step down with a pay cut of nearly 50%.. otherwise they offered a paltry severance package and told us we don't have jobs in 3 weeks. I'm very disappointed.

Will never work at that specific store again
A typical day was basically being misunderstood, I did not like it there at all, I felt like the pay I was receiving did not match the work that I was putting in. Someone could die and they wouldn't even blink an eye.
