Underappreciated unless your in certain roles
Many positons not respected unless you are a chief officer or on the merchandising department, particularly buying team. Planning is non existent and expectations don't match reality.

The culture is supposed to be super positive and fun and friendly but sometimes that doesn't happen when the individual store isn't doing very well, then everyone is just stressed about keeping their job.

Great starting platform for my career in Retail
The mentoring type of community Buckle provided was great. I learned the building blocks of a succesful retail company through training, reviews, tracking of people and merch, selling, and hiring. Overall the culture was positive, product knowledge was pushed, and I gained a huge amount of experience in leadership development and the mentoring of young entrepreneurs.
ProsSupportive and Mentoring Managers and Supervisors
ConsLong Hours and worked every weekend.

Management is unsupportive
Buckle management is very unsupportive and excludes individuals that they deem are “not good enough” to work at their stores. They show aggression and target employees with any health issues (even COVID related). Upper management is unresponsive and dismissive when notified of a hostile work environment.
ProsDiscount on clothes
ConsOften you do not get break

Retail
I would like to decline from make a statement regarding this employer, at this time. Due to a majority of their positions being held by high school aged children, I feel that it would be too difficult to provide an accurate feel for the company.
They DID provide wonderful training opportunities to their management staff, and I really enjoyed teaching employees how to sell more efficiently.

great job
Fun job but hard to advance with all the competition. But if you keep your pace up and sales up and always willing to go above and beyond you'll make it.
Prosco workers, clothes, guests

Caring company
Loving and caring company to work for for. More than your typical retail job. Loved the people I worked for and how they wanted to help me succeed in life regardless of what that meant.

Set your own pay rate at this fun position
Aiding customers in building outfits and making commission-sales. Cashiering and stocking.
