Challenging environment due to recent layoffs and sale of businesses
Challenging environment due to recent layoffs and sale of businesses.
That said good products and people with opportunities for strong future growth. Well positioned in business aircraft market going forward. Strong Customer Support organization.

All About the Company - Profits First, People Last
Worst company I ever worked for! Horrible! So glad I am no longer there! No support, no one knew what I did for my job, no boss interaction, no thank you or appreciation EVER. Awful culture! Stay away!!!!

Site is moving so environment is changing.
BT has been a good place to work with many challenging projects that allow for personal development and career growth. The compensation is generally good. The work environment has been good, but may change due to the site moving.
ProsInteresting projects.
ConsUncertainty with the offices moving and overall company reorganization.

Good place to work and fun.
Enjoyed my time working on planes as part of a team or individual doing functional tests, rigging, mods, balancing flight controls, swapping landing gear or just prepping for paint or finishing after paint. Good group of people to work with.
ProsPaid holidays and vacation/sick leave with decent health care

no good place to be, NOT in Wichita
Best to find another place to work, rather than Bombardier SITE in Wichita. .
BA just doesn't think of developing this site. It is a necessary evil in Bombardier's Management, to have location for Flight testing and Nice weather for Test Airplanes to exist in.
ProsNice safe town to live in
ConsThe Management, work life balance and poor job security

Great place to work
I loved working at Learjet but due to the economic issues within the aerospace industry, I was laid off in January 2014 after 18 years of employment.

Good benefits and pay
Typical aircraft mfg. Long hours and overtime, constantly subject to layoffs or employee reductions. Headquarters are in Canada. Some good leadership. Some good employees. Although a union shop not that difficult of an environment to work in.

Plenty of responsibility and challenging mental growth potential in the field of aircraft manufacturing processes.
I Performed organizational-level maintenance on avionics communication and navigation systems and modified new aircraft with modern systems. I lead a team of 15 personnel to complete each aircraft with very high standards. I flew with the flight crew during flight tests to ensure proper function and create maintenance actions required, this was very enjoyable. Yet the hours were very long.
ProsAchievment was very high with a great sense of accomplishement.
ConsThe manufacturing processes were moved back to Canada and operations ceased here in Tucson.

Horrible
Terrible company. Just dying slowly and painfully. It is very clear when you work here to see why this company went from having it all to nothing. Too many managers with no clue what they are doing. Everyone is there to suck money and either leave or get fired. No loyalty, no motivation, no team work. Worst environment to spend 40 hours (or even more for free cause no overtime) of your precious week.

Busy Work Environment
Sense of community among staff, though there was little sense of urgency as a result of clashes between expectations from management and union protections.
