An ok place to work
I have worked here for 2 and a half years and through my time there have made alot of friends. Food is good quality, u are given the bonus of free food while working and a percentage off when not. The atmosphere is fun and out going.
I'm not going to be leaving here anytime soon ...

Coworkers are wonderful, but management micro manages a lot.
Overall, the flexibility and coworkers are wonderful, but management likes to micromanage and you hear from all the managers, at different times, something that may have gone wrong. You, as an employee, are just a number and easily replaceable so their isn't much praise and encouragement from the higher-ups. It's unfortunate because the money is not bad, the schedule is very flexible, and the coworkers are great.

Fun place to work! Highly recommend. Managers are awesome! Located in Rancho Santa Margarita. Everyone is very friendly and outgoing. Competitive work place.

decent place to make great money
Bjs provided me with more than an income-- it established valued relationships with patrons and coworkers that will last the rest of my life. There's great money to be made if you can keep up with the pace. The clientele are loyal and appreciative generally. There is a balance between long time employees and new hires, but overall there is a fun environment to work in.
The biggest pro, besides the people, is the flexibility of scheduling. They want you to be available to work often, especially weekends, but shifts are easy to swap and/or get covered, and management really makes an effort to grant requests for time off.
The main con is the lack of benefits offered to team members, although there have been improvements in the last 8 years I spent working there.

Employees don't feel valued or heard
The managers at this store have a really bad habit of playing favorites and not fairly holding everyone accountable for their actions. Managers don't act like they care about the well being of their employees and often make people work when they're sick. Overall I think this place needs a lot of reform and improvements. There is so many things that are not right about working for this restaurant it is hard to put it all in words.

Decent place to work, great beginners job.
I would recommend Bj's as a first job to anyone 18 or older. It's decent pay for someone that young with not that many expenses. Management had their flaws, but there weren't any real outrageous issues.

Decent company to work for
If you put in the work and want to advance, they take the steps necessary to advance you. It is very difficult at times but I've been told it's worth it. At times people will go up in the company and move on to better opportunities.
ProsDiscounted meals, warm environment
ConsHourly employees have worst benefits

Not good
Not a good place in ANY aspect to work at mentally, physically, emotionally draining work atmosphere to work in and often hostile and out of line behavior from management. Management is absolutely horrendous.

Productive but slow
Towards the end of working there I was not impressed with management. I feel management cared more about themselves at times then the team memebers itself
