Stressful work environment
Your just an employee. You’re supplied sick days but if you use them you can possibly be fired for it. This is not a good job if you have children because if you really need to leave then you can be written up. It’s a stressful job and you’re only promoted if you kiss your managers behind. Your told every day that you can be fired and you sign up to be on the phone for hours dealing with the public. It’s definitely not a job if you care about people because it’s all about the numbers. Also, if you use any vacation time at the beginning of the year and get fired or you quit. You have to pay that money back. It’s extremely stressful and takes a lot of patience but I met good coworkers that became friends after everything. Also, please take care of yourself mentally and physically because the stress can have an effect on your health in the long run.
ProsThe money and the benefits. You also meet people of different backgrounds and cultures.
ConsStressful, just an employee, fired for anything, not a job if you have children, your disrespected on a daily basis, overworked, no promotions, bonuses are not much, life/work balance is a joke.

Overall work experience was pleasurable. Fortunate to have a good manager that helped in managing work/life balance. I was fortunate to work on many projects across multiple environments utilizing several technologies in both application development and managing/accessing multiple ecosystems.

working with the people there was great.
Truist is newly developed and will have different management styles than we had at Branch Banking & Trust. I am not sure if it will feel the same after everything changes

Great company
It is a solid company that doesn't pay as well as other institutions but does offer a great culture. Generally leadership will make sure Teammates feel connected and engaged.

The right manager makes all the difference
My experience has been great. I had a wonderful manager and great co-associates. I am leaving due to my position being relocated due to the merger of BB&T and SunTrust. It has been the best working experience of my career.

Nice enough
Decent workspace. somewhat helpful management. Though some instances of "we've always done it like this". Numerous policy changes throughout the week that make it hard to keep up with.

Fraud Detection
Daily work does not change, however there are many additional tasks that need to be completed timely. Sometimes those tasks prevent you from leaving the office on time. Knowing how to manage your time is curcial.
As a manager I always encourage my associates to ask questions when a second opinion is needed. In many instances they just need to hear their problem and know, without my input, what needs to be done.
Hardest part of the job is to say NO when help is needed, but my schedule is full of meetings.
The best part of the job is to help associates sharpen their skills.
Preventing fraud is the best feeling in the world!

Experience with the employer will depend on the team not the organization.
You have to be your own advocate. If you have a complain against any manager your job will be in jeopardy if you go to HR. Transfer before you ever complain. Its not worthy.
