They have little concern for how their business decisions negatively impact their colleagues.
The business made a decision to move it's the operation to a location that is not commutable for colleagues who have been with the firm for 10+ years.

A lot of Bureaucracy
The is a ton of bureaucracy at this firm which is to be expected given the number of employees. The work life balance is great along with the community service.

Productive and collaborative workplace
The industry is very fast paced and demanding- which I liked for a while. However, I find myself seeking more of a work life balance and having time outside the workspace.

Fair place
Barclays is a huge organization with varying departments. I worked on backoffice IT Infrastructure end and can only provide a review on that. Never a dull moment, its an investment back so there was always something that need to be done, new deployment, upgrades, break fix etc.... Great pay especially after hearing from the Lehman folks that joined after bankruptcy and when it came to benefits my friends envied me when I told them about it. I cant provide feedback on work life balance since most of my years their I didn't have a family but no one really complained about it so guessing it was fine.

Barclays
I worked for Barclays from the age of 17 until present. I loved all aspects of my job roles within Barclays and look forward to finding a new job with new challenges.

Professional environment with excellent culture of professionals
Strong calibur of professionals to work with. There is always something new to learn. The technology is very dated and there is a lack of project managemnt in releasing new technology. Overall a good place to work and devleop a career.

Worst Place to ever work!
You will be treated like a prisoner! They know they will have you over a barrel because of the health insurance. People have to find psychologists to deal!

Fast paced
Barclays offered a relaxed working environment, however, the business was constantly changing and moving forward which I understand is necessary for business growth but was not ideal for employees with particular skill sets.

Pleasant working environment
Each day is varied and inconsistent. Barclays are undergoing major restructuring so it is difficult to know whether you will be in a job in the near future.

Great people/ teams
Great company to work for, many long lasting relationships created. Salary is competitive but its a fast paced and often stressful environment. Monthly/ annual reviews are tiresome.
