Overall the worst job ive ever had.
I get paid $9.00 an hour for mental and physical exhaustion. No appreciation or respect for employees. They care more about the dress code and the sales that they are making than you. No raise within a year and a half in working there. I have seen many good, hard working people quit. All jobs include stress I get that. But autozone excpects so much from you for little pay and no appreciation. This job will steal your soul.

Really doesn't pay enough
For all the heavy lifting you have to do, it's not worth the pay. Stocking heavy brake rotors and calipers and car batteries isn't easy. The computer system is over 30 years old and so slow and just overall outdated. At least Walmart starts at $15/hr for the same job, and you don't get ignorant elderly folks coming in all day expecting Certified Auto Mechanic-level expertise from someone getting paid 30% of what a Certified Auto Mechanic makes. Honestly, it's only worth it as a part time job for the 20% employee discount if you've got a project car or two you're looking to fix up, and even then that's pushing it.

Little to no room for advancement. One raise a year and it’s a few cents; dependent on how well/bad your SM reviews your performance. Great environment, low morale. AutoZone will exploit your hard work.

ConsLow pay, inconsistent schedule, a day job through and through. Not a career.

It's bad
I've worked worse places this was pretty bad. The management is terrible and petty as all get out. The scheduling isn't flexible unless you brown nose the boss or are the boss. Just a not good place to work.

Stores and warehouse good workplace
Stores Autozone are good workplace.

Unpleasant place to work
Dead end place. Really bad customers. They aspect you to know everything about cars and act like a mechanic when selling. They want you to sell useless stuff to rip off customers on stuff they do not need.

This is the worst company i have ever worked for
They care nothing for human life u only get a raise to be topped out on pay at $18.50 a hour and after that u make your max pay for the remainder of your years with auto zone its a dead end job

Don't Bother
Under payed A LOT. They hire anyone off the street. I have 20+ years of mechanical skills & they hired a new employee with no knowledge at all of automobiles and found out by joking around that he made more than me. Only 4 employees actually did any work. After a year of being employed they gave me a 7cent raise. Yes I quit. Horrible greedy selfish corporation that should not be in business. When AutoZone first came out several years ago it was a great place to shop. Now it has been ruined by greedy selfish incompetent.

Very good company. Too much opportunity for cronyism.
Very progressive corporation. As such, profits rule. I have personally witnessed the company stock go through the roof. At the same time staffing was cut, creating a greater, less manageable work load for those that remain. I watched as this created a much less effective customer service experience for walk in customers and unexceptable treatment of phone customers.
ProsPlenty of work location choices. Some very memorable co-workers. Discounts.
ConsReduced staff for even more ungodly profiteering. Mediocre pay. Cronyism.

Fast paced work environment
I enjoyed working at autozone! My supervisor jon lamb was a great example! The work environment was great as well! I would recommend working at this company to others!
