Duties

The asset protection associate is responsible for assisting the asset protection officer in maintaining and protecting assets, including but not limited to: property, equipment, personnel and vehicles. This position will be responsible for providing security services as well as supporting other departmental functions such as assisting with all aspects of criminal investigations; maintaining records on theft activities (eg., traffic violations); responsible for monitoring activity against individuals or entities that may have access to information about them through their online presence/contact details.

Detailed job duties include:

  • Provides security and asset protection services to clients, including the identification of potential theft or loss.
  • Provides assistance in identifying suspicious activity that may be related with an assigned client account; as well providing support for other departments within the organization (eg: security services).
  • Analyzes all types/type(s) of reports and documents associated with each customer transaction.
  • Reviews transactions on-line by phone, email and via webmail.
  • Performs daily audits of accounts using various software programs such as Asbestos, Scanner, etc.

Qualification

  • Must be able to work in an office environment
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability for working with others, both internal and external
  • Must possess strong organizational skills
  • Ability of performing physical activities such as walking, standing, sitting or climbing stairs frequently throughout shifts (up to 10 hours per day)
  • Excellent verbal/written communications skills including presentation abilities are essential functions of this job
