Owners are amazing
Owners are amazing - very understanding. Job consisted mainly of cleaning, contacting members and prospects and conversing with members on the floor. Other employees are super helpful and friendly.

I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a job that does not schedule a lot of hours.

Good atmosphere
I felt like the staff and management were very helpful. The pay was decent and there was also
room to move up. We all had a really flexible schedule, just as long as the gym was supervised during staffed hours.

Friendly work environment
I am a personal trainer that enjoys the environment that the owners have established. They are friendly, encouraging, the allow for growth, and provide a safe environment for members and staff.

Maintenance and Office
I work M-Saturday about 25-30hrs a week. I love who i work for and my job. I do two jobs, clean and work the office. I believe i should be payed a bit more for both of the duties I am responsible for but over all I love where I work.

Great franchise with an amazing culture
Anytime Fitness as a corporation has created a wonderful, caring culture that is people centered. That culture is evident throughout the several franchises I have come in contact with and was that way within my franchise's 4 clubs. I had a great amount of personal growth and support in my time working there. The only downside was the lack of room for growth within the company.

Productive and fun workplace
Made own hours so flexibility was a plus. Gym as a whole is nice but personally don't fit as well compared to more of a focused gym vs general gym. Pay isn't great whatsoever

Great place to work and to progress from entry level to management
It is a franchise so each owner runs things a bit differently. The owner of the 32 gyms I am under is awesome. He listens to the staff of all levels entry on up. He understands each staff member's jobs as well. The most enjoyable part of the job is making a difference in clients' lives.

it was a good place to work until they couldn't get a good system for their payroll. my check kept getting messed up so I had to resign. Also just the management at that gym was crazy.

Independent contract personal fitness trainer
I paid monthly rent at multiple AF locations.
I found this the best way to operate successfully with an open schedule and freedom of training content. I carry my own insurance and liability coverage. The owners of the Anytime Fitness commercial spaces I worked with were professional private clean small and not overcrowded, maintained well, equipped with excellent new machines and the latest updates equipment, clients had decently priced memberships and complete privacy when using the facilities. Membership contracts at Anytime Fitness are superior over other similar gym and have a large corporate network across the U.S. and internationally. I had an excellent collaboration experience at the locations I chose to train from. Recommend the studios for any traveling professional who requires a private gym with high standard equipment they may not have at home.

ConsSmall social atmosphere with no large group classes, little focus on child care spaces as staff is minimal.

Worst franchise and owners in calgary
I worked for 3 different locations with 2 different owners and they are both shady. I worked for $14 an hour less than minimum wage, as MANAGER. The owners were never present. However often spied on staff via facility cameras. During hiring process the owner asked me if the applicant was hot if not they dont get the job. Favouritism, some members pay less if they are liked than the ones that arent. Uncertified trainers.

Review
Overall I enjoyed working for Anytime Fitness. All are individually owned therefore no interview or employment will be the same, it depends on the owner and the way they do things. It is a good franchise to work for however some owners are not the best. I had a lot of positive and a lot of negative experiences in this industry/workplace however like I said I think this comes down to the individual owner.
