A variety of talented associates that work hard.
Always impressed with the number of and the high talent level of associates I've worked with in the past and present. However, upper management and collaboration between departments remains mediocre.
ProsMultiple career opportunities, great food service for employees.

Productive and Fun place to work.
A typical day at work involved listening to a tape and typing three managers' correspondence and work-with reports. Another duty was to create holiday sales presentations on the computer to present to the sales reps in large meetings. I enjoyed working independently, yet near other administrative assistants. The company gives a matching 401k plan. The salary was average. The commute for me was very close. I worked there until the branch office gave all of the secretaries severance pay and they didn't use secretaries any longer because the management were using laptops by now. The company had several parties during the year. The hardest part of the job was being accurate and getting the projects done on time before the meetings.
ProsNice place to work; nice people
ConsSalary was a little low

Great Experience to Balance Life and Work !
Management is very supportive. This job offers you the ability to create your own daily schedule. It promotes independence. You are given accounts to manage and weekly projects that you are to complete at the end of the work week, on Sundays. In order to sustain job, you must be detail-oriented, effective communicator, have the ability to execute merchandising/marketing strategies, build relationships, execute inventory management, have a keen eye for design and have a reliable car.
ProsIndependent work, flexible schedule, freedom to excel
Conslimited opportunity for growth, limited benefits

Great company to work for
American Greetings was challenging but very rewarding. Learn a great deal while with the company. Hardest part of the job was leaving to take another job as they are moving the corporate headquarters.

Good place to start out of college
No day is the same, depending on your job role. Management could be better, company encourages lateral movements rather than promotions (hard to do without seniority) - some roles have a quicker glass sealing than others. Mostly women work there, unintentionally, which makes the environment different.

Lovely place to work
Job is good, management is friendly. Training is not that great and coordinating with the stores you service can be a pain. One you get everything organized it's a breeze. Very few hours for each store. Starting wage is barely above minimum wage. I have the job as an add on to my other merchandising job. Not enough hours or wages to work this job alone.
ProsFlexible hours
ConsNot enough hours
