Needs professional training starting with Management.
It is sad that Management starts with poor examples to show the employers how to succeed in their role to do. Needs profressional in the office. Need to be fair.

It was a nightmare
I worked as an agent at two airlines. My boss was down right mean, and it was all revolved around favoritism. The wage was way to low compared to the work and responsibility

Technical Support | Van Nuys, CA | Jun 13, 2017
Productive and fun workplace with large and relaxing employee lounge and several large screen TV's.
Typically each day brought a new challenge to the ever growing technical world of cable TV and high speed internet. Management always to open to hear suggestions and thoughts of all crew members. The hardest part of the tech support department was trying to keep customers from not going into a panic when things were not working well. Dealing with outages and services going down can cause mass hysteria among paying customers. But the most enjoyable part of the job is hearing the satisfaction and gratitude from the customers when the problems have been resolved or at least a solution has been provided with a reasonable time frame.
ProsMonthly free lunches
ConsExpensive health care charges

Fast paced environment
A typical day is fast paced, but rewarding. Challenging on a daily basis , but rewarding at the end of the day. You work with different personalities , customers, airlines, TSA, FAA, OSHA, so you get a lot of experience to be successful.

Airport life with new challenges and lessons daily
You might work at any of a number of places- ticket counter, gate, grooming aircraft, bag room, or on the ramp. Airport work is dependent on so many factors, delays in arrival airports can affect the entire day, as can a minor mechanical problem on an aircraft, a late inbound aircraft or a coworker calling out sick. This job has you constantly learning, moving, and reacting and predicting what new challenge may arise next. During everything, you must provide above and beyond customer service as per the standards of the airline you are representing, even though you are a contractor, and not receiving the full benefits as a legitimate airline worker. Managers will support you, but also expect you to function independently after you have been thoroughly trained, with that said, you will constantly be learning new things. You must be ok to work well under pressure, and with angry, upset, and any other multitude of personalities and situations that could come up. You do have a lot of fun, and it is important not to become too overwhelmed, and keep it light.
ProsDepending on the airline you work for, you could get free flight benefits
ConsIf you are delayed you might be there all night despite what you were scheduled for

Not the best benefits package
The benefits at this company are not the best and they do not pay very well. I could have stood at a street corner twirling signs and made more money per hour.

Airport Life Isn't for everyone
Working at the airport isn't for everyone. The Hours are long, Pay isn't great and it can be stressful but if you like a challenge, it's the best place to work and ATS is a great company to work for.

Are there any travel benefits working for this company?
Asked Apr 14, 2017
In your city ATS may operate various contract with different airlines. If the contract you get hired for offers flight benefits then yes, but generally you have to sign up and pay an enrollment fee every year (like $50). For some who know they will use it, it’s totally worth it.
Answered Dec 28, 2019
Travel Benefits is pretty much for management position only.

You would be tasked with guiding people to cars and getting their luggage for them. Arranging whatever needs to be arranged.
Answered Dec 28, 2019
If you were in charge, what would you do to make Airport Terminal Services a better place to work?
Asked Nov 15, 2019
To start, I wouldn't be stingy with pay.. there's a saying; you get what you pay for and that is true with employees. Also, if something isn't broke; don't fix it. It takes a certain amount of people to turn flights the proper way; where everything that's required by contract gets completed. No one gets hurt and No aircraft gets damaged because the crew isn't being rushed for lack of crew. Stop micromanaging all stations and focus on the ones that actually need help. You don't have to micromanaging them either, find out why they aren't making budget and help them.
