Pay and Benefits are good
Pay and Benefits were good. For the site i was working at we had a Panama Schedule which I enjoyed because it gave me more time with family. The hardest part of the job was working the holidays but we can bank those holidays for another day if you are a exempt employee.

Poor Communication from Home office
The contract I was on was cancelled due to the company's inability to deliver on customer expectations. Excuses were always offered when customers complained. There were not enough people hired. There was no training plan or training program. Employees were expected to train each other while management watched from inside. If you made a mistake your were punished because you should know better. The first site manager was fired about 3 weeks into the contract. The site was subsequently ran by a retired military member that had no interest in ensuring the customer or employees were satisfied. The home office was a group of retired military commanders that had no interest in the lower echelon on site doing the work or improving working conditions. Company workers received regular raises, and hourly workers performing maintenance did not. Morale was low and the company's only concern was hourly employees signed a contract and they will be held to it. The company felt no need to address any employee concerns at any time unless the complaint was so embarrassing that they did not have a choice but to respond accordingly. This toxic environment resulted in a 20% employee turnover rate and the contract being cancelled. My recommendation is do not move to a site with this company until you have visited the site first. They will tell you what you want to hear to get you to the site and then forget about any verbal promises they have made.

Good co workers, management was not willingly to give raises or advancement
Where can I start, retaliation if you call hr about an issue with management, hr is always on their side as to say they have a reason to yell at us. Bad
ProsA gift card at Christmas
ConsCant say all i want, racist when i was there, some management had alcoholism issues while at work, would not promote unless kissed butt, i guess thats all cant go over 100 characters

Employees are ALL treated with respect. Work is appreciated. If you want to travel there are many opportunies available.
AECOM was a great company to work for they lookout for and offer employees educations or other things for improvement and well being. I truly wish I could have remained with the company.

Large company, limited resume in HC. Hands on mgmt overseas.
HC program was 2nd tier for this company, not a bad thing but tough to get noticed from market place. Good people overall, sometimes I think they were trying to do too much with too little, clearly a publicly owned culture.

Profit motive drives decisions
Political and profit driven drives operational decisions...... minimal upward movement. Self promotion is abundant, lacking team culture, morals and values

Ok
Ok to work at great parties/ lot of transitions but not enough information and details about what’s going on in the company. Great people to work with.

Productive and Great Workplace
Lots of interaction with all levels of management and site workers. Site workers very attentive and utmost adherence to safety policies. Workplace culture very interactive.

this company has people in position more worried about themselves than there employees
it takes for ever to get a straight answer, you send an email to HR and it takes f3 weeks to get a tracking number, then they never give you an answer. only time you get an answer is when you keep bugging them for it. normally 3 to 4 months
Prosnone

limited hours to work on per project.
A typical day at work included document control to the public on behalf of FEMA. Must be prepared for much and sudden changes with proposals in Marketing.
Co-workers were great team players.

Ok company
I worked for AECOMs sub company AC first in Afghanistan...pay was ok...life outside of work is non existent...work 11.5 hrs a day for 13 days and work 4.5 hrs on the 14th day...No time off unless you go on vacation every 4 months...no sick days...if you take a sick day you wont get paid for that day if you dont have PTO...Management I honestly dont see are for the employees...you're there for the war fighter and that is all...
