Overview
We are a growing, innovative and dynamic company that is looking for an administrative specialist to join our team. The administrative specialist will be responsible for the administration of all administrative functions in support of various government agencies including: federal government, state departments, public administration, etc. This position requires excellent communication skills with ability both verbal and written; strong organizational skills required as well as experience working on multiple projects simultaneously at least once or twice per year (either independently or collaboratively).
Duties
The administrative specialist is responsible for the administrative and business processes. This includes managing all aspects related to office operations, including scheduling appointments, organizing work orders, maintaining records, filing, etc. The individual in this role will provide support in other areas such that IT/administrative support. In addition, an administrative specialist may also assist with various projects or tasks assigned by management within their department. Other duties include: maintaining database systems; updating databases; creating reports on status of activities.
Detailed job duties include:
- Manages the administrative support of a large, complex organization.
- Provides technical assistance to all departments and staff in order to ensure that their needs are met or exceeded by an appropriate level of service.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures as well other applicable laws/regulations including but not limited to: administrative procedures, federal government regulations and state law enforcement act.
- Maintains records for internal audits and accurate documentation on work performed within departmental guidelines.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an administrative specialist with an emphasis on administrative support
- The ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality for sensitive information (email, documents)
- Must be proficient at Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, etc.
