Overview

We are a family owned and operated company that provides quality, affordable activities for children in grades K-12. Our mission is to provide the best possible care for our clients by providing them with an enjoyable experience while maintaining their independence. As an activity assistant, you will be responsible for helping kids play games and learn during their time in our care.

Duties

The activity assistant is responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable environment to children, adults and staff. This includes: helping with the daily activities of children in their home; making sure that all children are safe at all times; participating in group activities as needed; performing routine maintenance on equipment used by parents or guardians; maintaining clean rooms/rooms throughout the day; cleaning bathrooms (including toileting), changing linens, etc. As an activity assistant you will be responsible for creating a fun, engaging experience for children while they are out exploring new places.

Detailed job duties include:

  • Provides a safe and enjoyable environment for children, adults and visitors.
  • Adheres to all safety rules and regulations as well as the requirements of state law.
  • Provides assistance with activities such as in-services (eg: feeding, snacking, etc).
  • Report any unsafe conditions or incidents on appropriate personnel immediately.
  • Complete daily activity logs using the assigned computer system.

Qualification

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years, or any other violation within the last 5 years that has not been reported to police for an investigation
  • Able to learn how to use various computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to read/write English fluently
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Professional appearance is required
