Duties
The ABA Therapist is responsible for providing therapy services to clients in the home, school, and community. This includes: developing treatment plans that are appropriate to their needs; working with families/caregivers as needed; supporting client goals through education; communicating effectively with family members or other professionals; participating in activities such as daily living, socialization, etc.
Detailed job duties include:
- Provides therapy services to clients in a safe and effective manner.
- Provides treatment plans that are consistent with the goals of the client, including: appropriate therapeutic interventions; developing an individual plan for treatment; maintaining positive relationships with family members/caregivers; supporting families through education programs; participating as a part or full time staff member on all aspects related activities.
Qualification
- ABA Therapist with current state licensure.
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire in accordance with state law.
- Must have experience working as an ABA Therapy Assistant in a school setting.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of appropriate treatment techniques/methods used by clients.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality regarding client information.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
